It's interesting that the ESPN article implies they may have a "for cause" reason for firing him. It looks like they're trying to squeeze him into another pay cut by threatening to fire him "for cause." Hardball.

If they have some legit dirt on him, it's going to eventually come out and the University will still have to let him go and face the NCAA for trying to cover-up whatever scandal it is.

Maybe it has been asked but is there any realm of possibility that OkSt comes to the SEC?

By no means does this mean I would welcome it. If I had a vote it would be HELL NO.

It would be worse than ours. They don’t have the recruiting advantages we do.

Shouldn't be that hard to break out in the B12 most years. Most of their players come out of Texas. Sign 3 stars and coach them up and have some pretty decent teams is their bread and butter. Or at least it has been under Gundy. I really don't remember much about the other coaches there given the length of Gundys tenure

Honestly, I kind of expected them to take over the B12 a bit after Texas and OU left. Not really sure what happened this year.

A large part of our problem was playing in the SEC. With the exception of Candy (most seasons), there just aren't teams that are continuously horrible.

Gundy lost his biggest supporter when Pickens died.

Will North Carolina attempt to hire Gundy?
We’ll see how the folks in Chapel Hill like Gundy’s slightly outspoken political beliefs. Without knowing any of the details of a buyout, I’d say he’s much more likely than Belichick.
