Mike Gundy FIRED

He did lose the mullet...
Perhaps there was a clause buried in his contract stating something to the effect of "Pay shall be commensurate with length of mullet, as measured from the average forehead hairline to the tips of the aft locks most distant from aforementioned hairline."

I said in another thread he has a lot of grace in Stillwater.
Looks like that is still true, but the leash gets tight.

All those Tennessee induced raises made him cost more than the benefit he was providing on the field.

If T. Boone Pickens were still around the money wouldn't have mattered though.

If, NC can't get Belichek, then I would kick the tires here. I'd start by finding out what went wrong this season (recruiting, injuries, curse of no Mullet, etc)

Could not happen to a better POS.

In the ranking of Vol fans... there are, IMHO, quite a few POS's above Mike Gundy. Let's not overreact when we could more so enjoy such news about Drinky, Beamy, the Kifster, even Sark, Geno, Cal, Will Wade, and, my personal favorite, any head coach in any sport at bama

You guys talking UNC hiring him 🤷🏻🤷🏻🤷🏻 How the hell do you sell hiring a 3-9 coach in a second rate league when you just fired the most successful coach in recent memory? It’d be the equivalent of hiring Derek Fooley as Fulmer’s immediate replacement.

I hope UNC does hire Gundy if he’s fired—we need to keep signing a share of the best players out of that state.

Looks like the title needs adjusted.

And it looks like a case of missing T Boone’s money more than anything

Sources tell KFOR that Gundy’s deal includes a pay cut and language that gives him less autonomy in hiring coordinators. However, Gundy will still have a large say in who’s hired.

BREAKING: Mike Gundy, OSU Agree to Restructured Contract

He's still a dead man walking after all of this. Recruiting will never recover
It's crazy that admins think a partial decapitation is good for the program. Either fire him or don't fire him, but wounding him so he bleeds out makes no sense.

Him letting them do it is weirder.

Either he just loves the program that much or, they have something serious on him. If it’s the latter, it will come out anyway
