Mike Keith and?

Please don’t let it be Hamer. Ugh. Dude is a walking, talking cliche.

Mike’s an excitab guy, so I’d like to see a more low key analyst that knows the game ala Bill Anderson to John Ward. Don’t know if Chris Lofton’s ever done it, but I believe he’d be a solid analyst.

Bert Anderson? Or Bill Anderson for football broadcasts?

I think it will be Hamer, but Bert sticking around at least until Barnes retires would be a good idea.

Ha! I was thinking of two people at once. Bill Anderson was what I meant.

Bert can stay on as long as he wishes IMO. He’s great.

I was there and you are speaking truth. We were an offense to the game of basketball on many occasions during those seasons.
I went to a couple of games as a student and basketballs was my favorite sport as a kid. I saw us beat KY in 1993.

Was that the game where CJ Black layed Ron Mercer out with a screen at about midcourt?
Feb 24th, 1993 -iirc, we won with a last second shot l.

I recall Houston, Hamer, and Allen. We were a bad team but somehow best KY. It was my first in person college game ever. Over half in attendance were KY fans.

I like Steve Hamer. I know some of you disagree, but I think he will do better just working with Mike Keith. He has had to fill more than a few awkward spots in Bob Keisling’s play by play over the years.

I've been a Titans fan since they moved to Nashville, so I was super stoked to hear the Mike Keith news. That being said, and just speaking for myself, I bet I have collectively listened to maybe ~1 hour's worth of Titans and UT radio broadcasts over 20+ years. I'm definitely not in the crowd of muting the TV and turning the radio on. Really, the only times I would hear Kesling or Keith call games is when I would watch some kind of recap video of a game with the radio broadcasts dubbed in. In reality, even though I'm a big fan of the move, it is going to be inconsequential to my UT sports consumption and fandom.

Yep. I’m thinking quite a few fit this category but neglect to mention it
as a qualifier to their opinion.

I haven't done that in years, if for nothing else that the TV/streaming and radio are so far apart it's a pain to try to sync. The radio for me is a good 10-15 seconds behind, and the cable for me is already about 15 second behind streaming. I have to turn off phone and watch notices during games because I would get notifications of scores before I saw it on screen.

I'll be honest, I do like Mike Keith and I figured he'd be the replacement but I actually don't love him on play by play. His voice grates on me after a while. I did like him back when it was him and Pat Ryan (who has a great radio voice) but when it was Keith and Wycheck....woof.

Dane Bradshaw gets my vote. Y'all just naming random former players with 0 experience are cracking me up though.

Ron Slay 2nd to none!!!!!
Yeahhhhh…no. This thread really has generated a plethora of ridiculous responses. Why would anyone currently working an ESPN broadcast contract leave for the Vol network?

There is avoiding the next deck clearing by the Mouse to consider. A gig with the Vol Network would be worth twenty years…
