Mike Leach has been forced to walk the plank

It's easy to look like an offensive genius in the Big 12. He looks like he's riding the short bus whenever his team matches up against anybody with a defense.

So does everyone else in that conference. Save maybe Texas or Oklahoma.

Exactly. I think we still have to give the guy credit. The fact is, he went toe-to-toe with Texas and Oklahoma last year with inferior talent. He's a good coach in my book but a bit of a weirdo to say the least.

Leach has his J.D. and will fight for the money that was owed to him. He is a lot more intelligent than he looks. Texas Tech will hire Sonny Dykes, offensive coordinator at Arizona and son of former Texas Tech coach Spike Dykes.

Do you have any recollection of Tech's trip to Norman last year?

Funny, I have no recollection of him being competitive with Oklahoma at any point in his tenure. Care to elaborate?

They should go after the guy from Houston. He knows the recruiting area, and he likes to throw the ball even more than Texas Tech already does.
He'd be an ideal fit for them.

No they got blown out. They beat Texas, and going into the bowls, had the same overall record as both. Their overall body of work was competitive with the elite in their conference, despite inferior talent, and that's what I meant.

I'm just saying, give the guy some credit.

Yes, he made them more relevant than they once were, I will give him that. However, to be the best, you have to beat the best, and Leach was never going to consistently compete for a Big 12 title.

Yet, no accomplishments to show for all that "relevance."

No rings, but as many bowl games under Leach than all coaches combined....according to ESPN.

Lubbock is a hard place to win.....not easy to get recruits to fly in by puddle jumper into isolated West Texas.

Can't happen,, He's as far away from a pro style as you can get. Remember we are trying to recruit future pro players here.
