Mike Leach hospitalized - passed away

This is awful. I read his brain was without oxygen for a long time waiting for the air lift. I had a friend who was in a similar situation (extended period without oxygen) and ended up brain dead. I hope that isn’t what’s happened, but if it is, ugh. I don’t want to say it.

Yeah, this is sounding very dire. I don't know how good medical facilities are in Jackson. If they can get him stable, I might life flight him over to UAB in Birmingham, maybe up to Memphis. Prayers for Mike Leach.
Somebody said in this thread that Jackson has the #1 trauma center in the state.

“Supposedly” he’s on life support, but the anoxic brain injury is too severe and they will be removing him from life support when the family is all there.

Absolutely brutal information, loved having the ole Pirate coaching football

This man is built different. Supposing that the reports are true, that his brain has been deprived of oxygen, etc…..even if he never coaches again, he will still come out of it sharper than the rest of us. He is special, spoke unpopular truths, did it his way, didn’t care what espn thought. The world needs more people like Mike Leach.
