It looks like we are going to roll out a banged up under producing WR corp according to the injury report.

With the injuries to our more experienced receivers, I see a MM coming out party Saturday night. While Squirrel, Bru and Thornton are not listed as out for the game, I suspect they will be limited, opening the door for the youngster.
Matthews might be a good WR at some point, but he wasn't ready or able to beat out any of our starters. None of those guys were showing out so far this season so I have a hard time seeing Matthews be any different. Just hope me makes the right reads, runs the right routes and if a ball hits him in the hands....catch it. He does that and I'll consider it a solid first start.

Very much hoping to see MM on Saturday, but it depends on how he is performing in practice, if the game has slowed down for him at this level. If he is ready, I have no doubt CJH will give him some run.

Matthew's started the season with an injury. Should no doubt be starting over slippery feet squirrel

The timing of his injury at the start of fall really hurt his odds of contributing up to this point. However, I agree if he is healthy it is time to see what he can do. Squirrel is just not doing what he needs to be a starter and Bru is going to have a hard time catching anything in a cast.

Also hoping Brazzel gets a few looks too.

I think Injury slowed MM down alittle in fall camp. But i also think, and this is my opinion, Heupel likes playing veteran guys over young guys. If this is the case, this is another Area Heupel will need to grow.

He battled a hamstring majority of fall camp. He's now healthy again. He's going to be a good player

No, it just says their status is probable that they will be available to play. Nothing on there says they will be playing. Bru McCoy may give it a shot, but unlikely he will be able to give it a go.

If they are healthy enough to play you don't think that Heupel will play them?

Yeah, I’d be surprised if all three played. Bru has a cast in his hand, Squirrell’s arm in a sling, and Thornton with a knee injury.

It’s time for Matthews, Nimrod, and Brazzell to step up. Also, our o line needs to man up and be physical, even if it’s our backups.

This is a must win game and Neyland will be rocking. What better game to be back on track than our hated rivals from the Swamp!

Go Vols!

and he needs to be willing to fire staff and bring in others if/when needed
