Fire Barnes? That would be dumb. Frustrating over our offensive performance this season? 100%

Especially when we have a bunch of talent coming in next season, it would be ridiculous to fire Barnes

The Vols are “leaking oil” right now, no question. Barnes won’t get fired but it’s possible the best of this season is behind us.

Hey Gene Hackman was nearly fired after his team lost on the road in a pathetic effort. But after the players saved his job, those boys rallied and won the state championship! We just need a “Jimmy” to step up and start making shots. Come on, who’s with me? Just like in Animal House, did we give up when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor. Let’s go!

Let’s all ban the color orange in Tennessee. A capital offense, perhaps. Firing squad? Exsanguination? BB gun shots to the rump until you cry.

It’s just a game. Win some lose some.

Of course, drawn and quartered wouldn’t work. It never did. At best they would only pull two limbs off. You were just bleed out flopping around without an arm and a leg.

Yes, predicting the loss is what I was referring to. I can’t remember a beat writer for the University of Tennessee ever making a prediction on any outcome of any game. I could be very wrong, just don’t remember.
