Miles staying at LSU!

Why are there two identical threads by the OP with the exception of "Go to hell trolls"

You know you can edit your post without starting a new one right?

Yes, I started it in the Football Forum, and thought it was deleted. Then I noticed it was just moved. My bad.

More than likely....just like a punk named Kiffin and Will Muschump. It takes a man with a vision, a belief, and hard hard work ethic to resurrect and rebuild a big name program. It is to easy to walk into USC or UF where the talent is there already and close around you in state for recruiting. It takes a HUGE SACK to step into a program with a huge history but no talent on the roster and start over from the ground up.

At least Kiffin originally took the job. I know he punked out but he had the recruiting heading in the right direction for a rebuild.

Not when you're coming from a sewer job like Louisiana Tech and UT is quintupling your salary. Almost anyone would have done the same thing Dooley did in his situation.

What the heck is up with Les Miles? Thought Michigan was his dream job. Is he afraid of the the rebuilding effort required?
Maybe Michigan's AD decided he would watch some footage of LSU over the last few years instead of just checking their record.

Is that better than coming of unemployment after being fired by one of the worst franchises (at that time) in the league... I believe anyone in Kiffy's situation would have done the same as well...

I seriously doubt he was offered the position. He would've jumped if given the opportunity. Truth is most alumni and boosters were luke-warm on the idea of Miles as coach.

Funny. I was refering to the pot stirers who said Dooley would take the LSU job if Miles left. Thanks for being an ass for no reason though. Says a lot about you.

Key word here. IF Miles would have Left. Nobody was insinuating that Derek Dooley would have taken the job had Les Miles stayed at LSU.

I'd gladly trade Dooley for Hoke.

Hoke is a hell of a coach.

I'll pass. He was only above .500 twice at ball state and is 47-50 overall as a head coach. San Diego St. can keep him or Michigan can have him. I'm just glad he's not at Tennessee.

Michigan is going through the same thing We went through...The legendary powers sometimes have to shake a few trees before they find the one they are comfortable with...We went through a bunch of interviews before we landed the right one...Or at least I HOPE its the right one over the long haul....Wonder who they target next?

I rarely disagree with you, but this time I do. I do think Hoke is a heck of a coach, but I am glad that Dooley is at UT.

To each his own. :hi:

I'm not saying I think DD is a bad coach. I think he can succeed here.

All I'm saying is that, if given the choice in the spring of 2010 between Dooley and Hoke, I'd have taken Hoke.

No, he just realized that if he actually has to coach, people might realize that he's really as retarded as the general public believes.
