Miles staying at LSU!

This was a good move for both LSU and Les Miles IMO, but bad for us because Les can recruit. He has done an excellent job of keeping La talent at LSU. I for one was hoping he would leave, however, I am not surprised he stayed. You can't win Championships every year anymore, as evidenced by Alabama, Florida, LSU, and Texas this year no matter how much talent you have. Unless of course you are in a weak conference like the Pac 10 or something ;) Bahaha Things have changed a lot since Bear Bryant. There is too much talent out there to pick from for both coaches and players.

This was a win for interview-loving Americans everywhere. It would not have been the same at the little house.

I'm not saying I think DD is a bad coach. I think he can succeed here.

All I'm saying is that, if given the choice in the spring of 2010 between Dooley and Hoke, I'd have taken Hoke.

Agree 100%. Hoke knows how to rebuild teams.

You sure about that?...The man has a 47-50 head coaching record with most of those wins coming in two seasons....12-1 at Ball st and 9-4 this season at SDSU...He's had 3 winning seasons in 8 years :eek:hmy:

What does Les Miles staying at LSU have to do with trolling? Les sat down and talked with Michigan, so it's not like this was an internet rumor. Am I missing something here?

Agree, it has a impact on us either way.

Im sure it had nothing to do with the shape that the programs that he inherited were in...

for the continuation of the Les Miles era in Baton Rouge. As long as he is LSU's coach Tennessee will always have a chance, no matter what the disparity in talent might be. The Almighty can't favor him forever . . . can he?

Show me a team he hasn't rebuilt.

I'll pass. He was only above .500 twice at ball state and is 47-50 overall as a head coach. San Diego St. can keep him or Michigan can have him. I'm just glad he's not at Tennessee.

He posted a 12 win season in his last year at Ball State. Pretty sure that was a first in that program's history. It's also 4 wins better than Dooley's best season at Louisiana Tech.

Then, he won 9 games at San Diego State this year, a program just 2 years removed from a 2 win season.
