I’m not opposed to physical barriers but I don’t think physical barriers alone are the answer.

I’ve stated multiple times in this forum already we need to augment the CBP MQ-9 Reaper fleet with more aircraft to assist their ground units as force multipliers.

The sensor suite should consist of GMT capable RADAR with dismount detection capability (fancy way of saying track people). That senor should be integrated with EO/IR sensors and both sensors should be coupled to a MHT style airborne processor for target track management and association.

All of this technology exists today. And has in fact been demonstrated in the environment we are talking about.

The only thing I would like to add is that we need more judges and whatever to process them back or make their case for asylum.

We're obligated? Exactly what are they escaping from? Are they being persecuted in their home country for their political, ideological or religious beliefs?

So you're saying none of these people from the murder capital of the world are legitimately refugees looking for safe haven. If you've stood up to the cartels/gangs and your government can't protect you, that indeed makes you a political refugee.

What is the spirit of the law? What is the point of it? Are we Pharisees? Is it only to help people who fit a narrow criteria or is it to help people people who are in danger and legitimately need help?

Are they “ safer “ as they go up in countries as they travel on foot walking in the open down the highways ? So the further they go away from Honduras the safer they are ? If that’s true I guess the Canucks should be preparing a bunch of beds and meals amiright ?

I've never heard of it, but I find the story hard to believe that there are 100 members of ISIS in this caravan and that the Guatemalan government is so efficient (and cares enough) that they could pick out 100 members of ISIS from this mob. I also see nobody reputable running with the story. All red flags. ******** meters come in handy around here.
