Millions of Illegal Aliens From All Over The World Head For U.S. Border

America's Border War Has Begun: TODD BENSMAN's dramatic eyewitness report on Texas' invasion of a Mexican cartel island crawling with gang members and ringed with sniper nests... and it's all happening INSIDE the U.S.

In the early dawn's orange glow, a Texas Rangers commander briefs a heavily armed invasion force.

They're preparing to seize a remote, 170-acre Mexican cartel-controlled island in the middle of the Rio Grande River overlooked by sniper nests and potentially booby-trapped.

Some of the dozens of assembled men shift from one foot to another or reposition their M-4 rifles as they listen to their commanders' instructions.

'Keep a close eye on those structures up there that have height advantage on us,' he warns.

'In case we do get engaged and someone is shot' medical evacuation plans are in place and there are blood bags if the wounded need a transfusion, he assures them.

This may seem like a scene from a far-flung war zone.

But it's just a glimpse of the hot war on America's southern border – a direct consequence of an out-of-control crisis that has resulted in nearly five million illegal migrants entering the United States since President Joe Biden was inaugurated in 2021.

'AN ISLAND OF DEATH'

An"Island of death" but the article talks about it for a good 200 words without mentioning a single body.

You need to figure yourself out before I could even make an attempt.

My record on the border is consistent. I've been critical of the last 3 presidents about it. I've been critical of how both sides inconsistently view the admins. It's all here on VN. Doesn't matter to you.

Biden's border crisis sparks world's largest traffic jam: 12-mile line of trucks with $1.5b worth of goods waits to enter US - after president began building Trump's wall and NYC Mayor Adams went to Mexico to stop flood

  • Trucks attempting to enter the US from Mexico queued for miles on Wednesday
The crisis at the border sparked a huge 12-mile pileup of trucks carrying $1.5billion worth of goods, after president Joe Biden ordered a wall be built and NYC mayor Eric Adams visited Mexico in an effort to stop the flood of asylum seekers.

Thousands of trucks attempting to enter the United States from Mexico queued for miles on Wednesday amid delays related to record migration that has seen more than two million people apprehended at the US-Mexico border this year.

They were left stranded on the Mexican side of the border after US authorities shut down crossings and imposed extra security checks amid an increase in migration.

In Ciudad Juarez on Wednesday, trucks waited to cross a bridge into Santa Teresa, New Mexico, after cargo processing was temporarily suspended at a bridge connecting the city to El Paso, Texas, to allow customs officers to assist in processing migrants arriving outside official crossings.

“Not sure. But that's not the financial issue i'm talking about. Actual deportation is what will sink us. A wall is an unoriginal idea that may help, but we have to man the border. That's the bottom line. A fence won't keep people out.”

Verdict: Walls could help. It’s plausible.

The wall is stupid. You said shrinking departments twice and failed to point out the money goes to Trump's preferred projects. Bringing back manufacturing isn't inherently good and his tactics are questionable at best. Consumer confidence in this moment means almost nothing in the...”

“About 2 out of 3 illegals cross the border legally. The wall will not be 100% effective. Even if it is, it can only stop a maximum of 33% of illegal immigration. A wall will not save you.”

“Link? Do you mean "alternatives"? What is the alternative you speak of? A wall is costly and will likely not prove to be a good ROI. I can guarantee you that we can save money and resources and improve on the problem with smarter government, so how in the hell could spending $ on a wall be a...”

“I'm serious about fixing immigration and getting the border under control, and I find the idea of a wall as a solution to be a laughable waste of money and attention.”

“Right now, a huge portion of the chaos at the border pertains to refugees and asylum seekers. Is a complete wall a deterrent on some level? Yes. Would it be much more than a dent? Doubtful. Will we get our money's worth? Not a chance in hell. Trump's Border Wall Torn Apart by Arizona Monsoon...”

What did you prove here? Looks like I've always been skeptical of a wall as a good solution.

Certainty one way of interpreting the data.

OK, what is another? You did all this legwork, now make your point.

You think because over the years I entertained different levels of effectiveness of a wall, I'm a flip flopper. I see nothing that says I changed my mind about a wall as a sound investment.

It's also OK to change your mind about something. Like when @hog88 convinced me to change my mind about Obama's deportation numbers. The bad kind of flip flopping is when the players/teams cause you to switch your position. I don't do that.

I believe the data speaks for itself. Sometimes you think the Wall is a waste of time, a waste of money, and is a stupid idea. Other times, it’s a plausible solution. It’s not a bad idea, but not the best idea. It is something to be considered for sure.

But people are free to make their own interpretations.

And yes, it’s completely ok to change your mind on something. Never changing your mind on anything is a sign of stubbornness, not virtue.

It's because most of us find it appalling that you attempt to lump Trump in with the two leftist clowns.

It's one piece of a multi prong solution that is needed. To do nothing is foolish. It's the same mentality they had when it came to piece talks in the Middle East. Trump broke the mode on that too.

I agree. A Wall by itself is not enough. But it is something. And it’s certainly better than listening to the same talking point I hear every cycle from spineless republicans and could give a sh*t less democrats.

“We need comprehensive immigration reform” followed by a pivot to another issue they want to promote.

Well Trump ain't exactly a conservative.

No but he was attempting to work on solutions. Slow down the illegal immigration and etc coming in unfettered, then enact the next piece of the solution. You have to start somewhere.

Actually it was my model and he stole it. I've been advocating for this well before Vivek came on the scene.

Actually I believe it was Ron Paul who said that to keep from being flooded, the secret was not to build a bigger bathtub but to turn the spigot off. Unless you’re Ron Paul: which is fine too.

Well there were exactly two things that Joe Biden promised that I was excited about. Reopening travel to Cuba and no more wall. He made zero effort on one and caved on the other due to mismanagement of the situation. Now his failure is complete and absolute.

Chicago gets uncomfortable with migrants and now we see movement. A reminder of who’s calling the shots, the only president to still stay in DC after their term is over.
