Laken Riley made a desperate call to 911 as she fought for her life, police have revealed, before her killer cut short the call and battered her to death.

The chilling detail emerged today as Athens-Clarke County police released more documents from their investigation, including the family background of the alleged killer, undocumented Venezuelan migrant Jose Antonio Ibarra.

Police have refused to release audio of the call but have confirmed that Laken, 22, was connected to a dispatcher and have also charged Ibarra with violently interfering with a 911 call.

It came as Athens Mayor Kelly Girtz faced a furious backlash today after it was revealed that police found multiple undocumented immigrants living in Ibarra's apartment in the city.

if Biden is facing the same limitations as Trump why are Biden's results SOOOOOO much worse than Trump's?

Biden removed several of Trump's EO's, he could easily undo those without a bill. he could enforce the laws in place without a bill. we don't need new/more, we need to actually DO.

unfortunately the dems really don't care. its always been about the message, and not the results with them. they literally could not care less that the message is resulting in disastrous results. look at LG in here, no word about the problems or the results, just wants to stick to message that Trump is the problem. doesn't how many people, or what people, are stomped, robbed, killed, raped, they only care about the message.

Because the number of people trying to get in has gone up dramatically. It's pretty simple.

The US system is not equipped to deal with these numbers. The POTUS needs the mechanisms to check it, and the authority to reject people at the border on certain triggers.

The bill would have done that. You can argue for lower triggers, sure, but you have to have the mechanism in place to start with, and Trump blocked it.

Then separate out the necessary parts for the border and vote on it. That's much better than adding it into a foreign war funding bill

The truth is that there are many things that could currently be done but the admin sat on its hands too long. Many existing laws could be enforced that would relieve pressure but their playing politics. Stop supporting it and things will change

Could there be progress made without that bill? If yes then you're not telling the truth and placing blame on the only people with the ability to act. Trump can't do anything. Biden is in charge

This is easily the most important point in this argument. Trump has a ton of influence, absolutely. But Biden is the President!

He’s shown no desire to combat and lead on this issue. He has continually stated that our border is secure and that the real threat to this country is not illegal immigration, or foreign governments, or healthcare related issues. No, his focus is on combatting MAGA and funding Ukraine.

You claim Biden (like Trump) cannot do anything at the border - but Biden’s DHS secretary repeatedly touted all that Biden did to undue Trump’s policies. Weird.
