Yes, the entire border fiasco is Trumps fault.
I never said that.
What I did say, and which has now been confirmed by multiple GOP officials, on the record, is that this bill was wise public policy and would have given Border officials more tools and more resources to try to address the problem.
But, and again as confirmed by GOP officials, on the record, Trump started calling Senators and Reps to urge them to kill it and that his motivation was that he did not want progress to be made while he is running for office.
You know, for the last few years many of us on here, liberal and conservative, Republican and Democrat, have all jointly criticized Congress from both parties for their failure to act. We have talked numerous times about neither side ever really fixes this problem because they like to run on it, in one direction or the other.
And now here we are, with a stark example of Trump doing exactly that. The very thing so many of you Republicans joined me in criticizing the Republicans for.... And instead of sticking to your principles even in the slightest you stand behind Trump and cast blame elsewhere.
Its rank hypocrisy to come on here and blame Congress for not acting and then, when they are stopped from acting for Trump's political gain, you evade the issue.
Why won’t Biden simply reinstate orders he rescinded? If the border is suddenly an issue now?
Trump was literally building a wall. You may be the biggest on this board. And that’s saying something.I never said that.

It’s not my post that needs to be fixed. It’s your brain. TDS has taken completely taken over. We all sincerely hope you get the help you need.
Why it matters: The Senate might pass the plan, which would be one of the harshest immigration bills of the century. President Biden is ready to sign it. But House Republicans — egged on by former President Trump — already are planning to shut it down.
Tempers flared Thursday as Republicans battled among themselves over whether to accept or reject a deal for tougher immigration laws, with some pushing back on colleagues who want to bow to former President Donald Trump's wishes and kill it.
At first blush, the bipartisan border deal unveiled in the Senate on Sunday seems like something former President Donald Trump should support. The bill, which would be the biggest change to immigration law in decades, would raise the standards for migrants seeking asylum and give the Department of Homeland Security emergency authority to deny asylum if the number of border crossings gets too high.
Except Trump has already come out against the deal — likely making it a nonstarter in the House of Representatives — and election-year politics seems to be to blame. Looking ahead to the November election, it’s not hard to see why Trump doesn’t want immigration reform to pass right now.
Covid ended and Title 42 would not have withstood legal challenges. There was a bill by Thom Tillis and Kyrsten Sinema to extend Title 42, but it never got voted on.
The problem is you can't use Covid-based policy to restrict illegal immigration. This bill would have put measures in place to quickly evaluate and reject claims for asylum and would have given officials resources and personnel to deal with such claims on an expedited basis.
Nope. Can't have progress be made.
Why do you basically insist this never happened? It passed the House 9 months ago.I never said that.

Imagine thinking that signing a bill into law that ALLOWS 5000 IMMIGRANTS PER DAY to walk into this country from the southern border was "progress".
5000 per day FOREVER. Thats 1,825,000 Minimum every single year in perpetuity. The fact that Dimwits and a couple of terrible, traitorous RINOs had the gall to even PROPOSE such a law is an embarrassment to this once great Nation and its people.
If our leaders EVER sign a bill into law allowing our country to have as many invaders from Latin America enter this country as their are LIVE BIRTHs then blood should run in the streets. I mean that, and will do my part if needed.
Did you know that thanks to Biden, there are MORE illegal invaders that entered this country in 2023 than live American births? Look it up. First time ever. Thats only counting the ones that got caught. Obviously cannot account for those who entered undetected. Think about that for a minute. More illegal aliens than new Americans born.
This administration has set a new low in every possible metric. We thought Barry and Mike were pathetic...wow. These clowns have managed to actually fail at every single thing they attempted except destroying America. They have done that in ways most folk never dreamed possible. It has been amazing to behold. Watching them talk is like when your kid was little, and you caught them red-handed acting up....and asked them about it. Then they proceed to lie straight to your face...the whole time both them, and you; knowing that they were completely full of sheit. Yet we humored the little ones...as they denied going in the cookie jar...despite crumbs and chocolate all over their little faces. Every time we see Biden, or that wretched french beeyatch as Whitehouse secretary, speaking we all know good and damn well that literally every single word that comes from their mouths is BS. We know that. They know that. The press knows that. Everyone on planet Earth knows that the POTUS is a bumbling braindead boob with maybe 3 working brain cells....one which cannot even speak English coherently. Much less run the country. Yet this CHARADE has gone on for over 3 freaking years man. 3 years we have been the absolute laughingstock of the planet. All the while the REAL Dimwits in charge have completely destroyed many aspects of this country and American life from behind the scenes.
It is criminal what has been done to this country for the last 3 years. We will pay for these sins for decades if not forever. It makes me sick. Actually turns my stomach to think about it. In the 5 mins it took me to bang out this post on my phone, we just went another Billion dollars in debt and at least a couple dozen more invaders that dont even speak English just walked into our country. To some, this is "progress".
I don’t think it’s just his GIGO addiction to the far left , it’s his gilt from being a gator fan , carrying water for the slavery , Jim Crow , Japanese internment camps , keeping minorities oppressed and on the government tit for at least 200 years ( LbJ ) “ The Great Society “ , one would think with that big attorney brain that he wouldn’t let an orange man occupy so much space in his head , but to each his own I guess . Deflect , Deny , and Disassociate .
Let’s play it up again then.
@lawgator1 what’s your response to this, or will you simply continue to dodge it?
You claim Biden (like Trump) cannot do anything at the border - but Biden’s DHS secretary repeatedly touted all that Biden did to undue Trump’s policies. Weird.
