Millions of Illegal Aliens From All Over The World Head For U.S. Border

I assume nothing. Some would have us let anyone and everyone into this country while others would be happy to close our borders completely. I have no idea where you fall on that spectrum so there was no point in assuming.
I wish we could get back to pre-9/11 protocol when you could go to Canada, Mexico and much of the Caribbean without a passport. It engendered good neighborliness.

So, now some of the refugees have filed a class action lawsuit against the US government for violation of the 5th amendment. Remarkable that an impromptu caravan of migrants walking across Mexico found an attorney like that.

I find it amazing that refugees can file a lawsuit against our government and get it heard and dealt with by some federal judge in very little time but a US citizen would spend years in court if they did .

Which just goes to show that this is incredibly organized and has very powerful people backing it. Our school systems are currently maxed out with funding due to hiring teachers specifically for working with children with special needs and those that don’t speak English. In Knoxville alone where our immigrant community is relatively small compared to other areas, the school system is financially at its limit. These children and their families will put a huge financial strain on the communities they move to should they get into the US.

The director of the ACLU's immigrants right group simply tweets the applicable section of the US Code concerning asylum requests and red hats lose it in their replies. Thought you guys were the "law and order" party.

Arrives in.

Just have to keep them out.

It’s what they are. They’ve already invaded Guatemala and Mexico.
Maybe half right. Mexico welcomed them with open arms, as long as they kept on walking. Not sure about Guatamala. I hope we send Mexico the bill for the troops on the border.

Of course slaves built the pyramids. I know where we can find about 7000 workers for the wall.

Train more border patrol agents -- don't deploy the freaking Army. Its such a transparent optics game for Trump. The might of the US military set to "defend" the US from a rag tag group of immigrants, that by the time it gets here will number about 500 or less. Its just such made up bullsh#t.
If it is 500, then the troops will go home after all the transgressors are arrested and placed in concentration camps where they will belong.

A mob marching toward our borders, demanding things to which they have no claim or entitlement whatsoever, waving the flag of another country. Hmmm.. Yeah, you're right.

Wonder if his view would be the same if they were Chinese or Russians.

Donald Trump keeps saying, as he did yesterday, that only "3%" of people released for an asylum hearing show up for court. His own Justice Department says that it was actually 89% in 2017, 91% in 2016, 93% in 2015 and 94% in 2014. His wildly false claim was repeated on Fox News this morning. Ainsley Earhardt said she had "heard it was only 2%".

I'm beginning to think that this is a coordinated strategy between the two. Trump makes some wildly false claim to his base and Fox News repeats it and confirms it, in effort to give it legitimacy (to the base, who gets most of their news from Fox).

I guess I’d feel better about the tremendous expense of all of this if somebody other than Fox News and Donald Trump/Sarah Huckabee Sanders would actually make an argument for it being necessary. Admittedly, I’m not sure there’s anybody in this administration Washington that I’d really trust on something that’s become so politicized.

I can see sending them there now, that makes sense to me. But I’ve seen reports of 10,000 troops being deployed... it seems plausible that taxpayers are funding the republican midterm propaganda machine, which would irritate me.
