Someone probably already daid it but they arent going to sit Joe Milton for senior day against Vandy. Nico might play the bowl but id be surprised at this point since it really seems like they want to avoid playing him at all costs.

My dad insists that Nico isn’t playing because he can’t read a blitz package. I don’t know why he thinks that, but there is no convincing him otherwise.

I knew this would be on here as a thread. But here are the facts:

- Hooker was NOT effective last year against UGA with NFL level Wide Receivers. We only scored 13 points last year, 10 this year.

The difference in both these games and the Bama game was defense. UGA has an elite defense, we don't. Some of the issues are with injuries and we don't have the depth or caliber of players to overcome that on defense.

For those of you who think Nico would have made a difference - the only way he makes a difference is IF he is a DOBBS type QB with rocket science intelligence that can make plays out of nothing. Maybe he is, but he did not show that type of ability against UCONN.

In the off season we need to work on defense - in the early part of the year we looked elite defensively but Bama, Missouri and UGA showed that we are not.

I just find it crazy that folks want to focus on the QB. That is NOT what lost us the last two games. If you can't get the other offense off the field (1) they will score points and (2) it limits the time you have the ball and (3) your offense never finds any rhythm and (4) it takes you out of your game plan because you are behind.

We need help defensively - some may say it is the coaches, but we have had key injuries and we don't have the talent depth - that has been obvious.

I dont think any qb would look good in their first few meaingful games. Nico should have got much more snaps in real games this tear to be ready to start from game 1 next yr.

And next week is Senior day - Milton will start - if he doesn't that sends the wrong message to any player that wants to come to Tennessee to give their all for 4 years.

There are players on this team that stayed when others bolted and there are players that transferred here when no one else would. Some of them will be playing their last game at Neyland. You don't dis-respect them by sitting them because of agendas from fans on a message board.

My hope is that we win like we should so they can be replaced later in the game to the cheers they deserve.

...and those are some of our defensive woes. Losing Bru, and then Thornton who was just starting to show up, and Keyton's hands turning to stone pretty much makes us one-dimensional offensively.

Hopefully Heupel will recognize whether Nico has IT or not. If Heupel has a question about Nico's ability, we better hope he goes into the portal and finds a QB with brains, poise, and athletic ability. Milton was not the dude where he came from, and he definitely has not been the dude here. Heupel painted himself in a corner with Milton. We can only hope he's learned from this one.

Can people finally get this through their head.......this was the plan all along...we think so its what we got...give the senior his moment and get him out of there
