Milton era should be over.

He was never expected to "start day 1". That wasn't the plan. That's not even how he was recruited. He could have gone somewhere that promised him the job "day 1". Instead, he wisely chose a place where he could develop for a year and avoid some potential dangers including severe injury.
Did you not see “redshirt freshman” in my post? Is he not expected to start day 1 of his 2nd year? You can’t keep these kids in bubble wrap until kickoff next fall.

Joe likely to get maimed against Vandy. Why would Nico?
Joe is a grown man and as much as I appreciate his devotion in spite of the lack of success... he's a lot more expendable at this point than Nico.

I think Nico will probably play. Just a guess but I think he will. But I really don't want to see him blow out an ACL or something in a game like this one. He needs to be healthy for the off season and spring.

I’m not mad at going 8-4. I’m furious though at the stubbornness of sticking to Milton when it’s obvious to everyone he’s not it. That’s on Josh and he deserves allll the heat now.
What if Nico truly isn't ready? You want him to get killed just for the satisfaction of seeing Joe benched?

Everything I’ve heard on the airwaves is that the kid is truth, today.
I honestly don't know. I haven't followed very closely this year, so I have to give those closest to the situation (staff) the benefit of the doubt.

Ready or not though, I can understand why they wouldn't want to "throw him to the wolves", especially against UGA..

Sorry, but there are two games left and Nico can only play in 1 game to preserve his redshirt.
Bowl game does not count so yes he could play the next 2 games and he will still redshirt. If it was up to me he would play to get him ready for next year. Milton has had a brace on his knee every since the UTSA game he could use the rest.
