Milton will be HUGE for UT in 2023

I think he will go in with the number one job his to lose. I am not uncertain with the other two guys being a sophomore and a freshman with limited experience that we don't shop the portal for another QB to challenge Milton for the job. I suspect it could be a Senior grad Transfer instead of a guy with a lot of eligibility. I think the incoming freshman is really high to take the job two seasons from now.

If you sit Nico down as a "pLan" for two years, he'll transfer end of year one and start elsewhere year two.

If we go 9-3 or better with Milton next year it’s a win for the season. The coaches need to have him throwing slants and posts down the middle of the field. He is more accurate with those type of plays. He just needs to keep the programs momentum going.
Have you told CJH your about your schemes?

Awfully salty about someone being critical of a guy that has a history of overthrows. He lost his job partially because of them, he never regained the job because of them, and when he HAD to step in due to Hooker's injury, he showed he STILL overthrows. Don't have to be a f***ing douche about someone calling out his obvious flaws that HAVEN'T CHANGED IN 2 YEARS. A third won't change anything.
Spencer Rattler changed.

You're delusional (but that's ok). JM is what he is...a big physical guy with a big arm. That does not equate to being a great, or even above average QB in the SEC, which he isn't and never will be. NI will be the best QB on UT's roster the second he steps on the practice field. All you have to do is watch tape (as much or as little as you choose), of every QB on the roster to see who is best. NI is clearly the best at making all the throws, TJ is next best, and your boy is third at best. Let me be very clear. I have absolutely nothing against JM. He seems to be a great teammate and all that. I'd be thrilled if he proved me wrong, led us to an undefeated season in 2023 and won the heisman, but I know none of that is going to happen. Film doesn't lie, no matter how badly you may wish otherwise.
Dam...you can distinguish between High School and the SEC?

Hey...Junior...Cool your jets...

Nice job debating my statements and going straight for a gif. Means you aren't intellectually capable of refuting the statements made. Funny, if he could throw a decent pass, the staff wouldn't have just stated he hasn't secured ANYTHING for next year. Hey senior, get wrecked.

After his dramatic exit from Oklahoma? No, he's still a dirt bag who deserved everything he got from Riley. That 20/12 season speaks for itself. If Overthrow Joe had harnessed ANY of his arm, he would have seen time this year when Hooker struggled, like Georgia and South Carolina. Guess what didn't happen and only occurred AFTER a season ending injury to Hooker?

We're paying Nico a lot of money ....he will do exactly what the Coaches deems necessary for him.
Haha...you're dreaming. He'll find money elsewhere if he doesn't play and will RUN to it. End of discussion on that topic. Kids today aren't tied into a team anymore, and the portal has killed what little was left.

Let him run!

So glad the Vols have Milton. For all the people bitching about Milton, he does so much more for the offense. The opens up the running game, because of his ability to throw the ball so deep (yes he'll have overthrows, so did Hooker). He also has the ability to absolutely truck folks if he runs just a bit.

The overthrow Joe comments and all the negative comments about how he can't play are just really coming from people that don't truly understand the sport. He will connect on a lot of the deep balls. He didn't have anymore overthrows last night (in a cool driving rain) than Hooker would typically have in a game.

I hope the coaches don't screw with his arm and throwing motion during camp next year. If anything he needs to hold the ball a half second longer and/or put a little more air under the ball.

I am really looking forward to Milton leading the Vols next season, no matter how the bowl game goes. The extra practices and game, gives next year's offense a big advantage.

He was pretty efficient last night. NO TURNOVERS was the best thing about his performance last night and the threat alone of the deep ball really had the defense on their heels, which opened up the run game like the Red Sea.

People can obviously have their opinions and say what they want, but if you're gonna spend the next several months hating on Joe Milton, go pick up a hobby....
Are we watching the same game?

Congrats Joe Milton on the Orange Bowl MVP. But I got to say our defense played tough and Beasley had a MVP night as well. Great game tonight Vols. You took it too a team that some folks were scared to play and claimed boldly we would get killed. Well tonight you beat their tigers arses back to tiger town with their tail between their legs! Way to go out and get it done, so proud of this team and the year!!!! GBO

I’m not exactly sure how good Milton will be next year, but I know he’s not 6-6 bad. He’s playing really well against a really good defense tonight.
That same defense that lost to Wake Forest? Yea, our D stepped up tonight and looked as good, if not better, than when Banks was on the field. This was a defensive win, not an offensive. Milton had eh numbers compared to what we had the rest of the season.

Their are some posters who want us to lose every game Milton Starts so they cam post in a forum about how smart they were for criticizing Milton. That is what they live for.
I am sure several of them would be disappointed if we go 12-0 and Milton won the Heisman. And they would still be on the forum talking about how bad he is.

They beat wake forest. They lost to Notre Dame and they were able to run all over Clemson and we beat them with both the pass and run. Offensive line could have played better yesterday though and I think the offense would have scored more had they done so.
