Minutes: BHH and Powell

This should be the only question asked of Barnes until he provides a reasonable answer. There is no logical reason for these two guys getting shafted in terms of minutes.

Man, I’ve been a huge Bailey supporter, but continuing to ride with Bailey over Powell is mind boggling. After last game when Powell got like 26m and Powell like 2m I thought the move was made, but then flip flopped tonight? Just doesn’t make sense, and the minutes Powell did play he was really effective.

No reason for Powell to not be in, if Bailey isn’t defending well, which he wasn’t at all then Powell is by far the better choice. Uros at least had a decent second half, but when we were going through a drought BHH at least provides a threat of inside scoring. Just don’t understand it. Not sure why Powell even came here at this point, his lack of minutes is ridiculous.

BHH had a pretty good 1st half but when he played in the second half he was sort of missing in action again. You do not play when you do not bring it on the court and he did not in the second half. He will become a pretty good player with time but now is not the time!!!! Powell is sick and could not play many minutes. I wish he could have taken the shot. I think Bailey has had enough chances to prove himself and has failed to do so.

Powell sick is better and a better threat offensively than Bailey.... Hes solid defensively too

Even if Powell were completely unavailable, idc. Bailey is only a good shooter in theory, he just doesn’t make shots. He’d already missed at least one WIDE open three this game!

ON is so frustrating to watch. He will make a play or 2 here and there that makes you think "wow" then disappears for 3/4ths of the game.

Uros was actually serviceable tonight. He is what he is, not gonna ever be flashy, but if he can play solid defense and get rebounds and hit a few free throws like he did he's contributing well.

BHH showed tonight that at the very least he needs more minutes. He's still got a long way to go, but he's gonna get better the more he plays.

Powell should be playing a lot more and Bailey should be sitting. That's just how it has to be moving forward.

Zeigler is a pest. Plays with tremendous grit but he's got to realize his limitations. At times he's forcing it. He's not gonna finish at the rim like KC can, but Late in the game he did a great job driving and kicking it out to open guys. We just had the wrong ones on the floor in Bailey and James.

This was a gutsy performance considering we were down our 2 best players. I think some better coaching decisions down the stretch and we're looking at a huge upset win (being down 2 players) on the road to start conference play. Hopefully we build off this and get back on track. Really need to win at LSU now.

Oh 100%, I’ve been begging for JM over VB all season. I’m big on his future
Heck I’d favor Q over Bailey. I genuinely don’t see what playing Bailey even a minute brings you, unless it’s just locker room politics. He does nothing at a level even approaching average, and it’s not like a young player still developing, this is his fifth year in college!!
