Miss St. Transfer OT Percy Lewis (Auburn)

We still need players. Hopefully that’ll be Heard. But you seem to be cool with Karic, Davis or some underclassmen who can’t get garbage time as our starters. Diminish Swain, Volquest, Basilio or anyone who with contacts within the program all you want. We’ve seen substandard OL’s over the years. That line would be another.

Get Heard and then upgrade your guard position. It didn’t happen last year and we begged Lane to return. Do better.
Number 1 rushing O and 18 sacks in 13 games is horrible. Bad line did great. All the talking heads before the year said they would not. You do better.

Reading that, that we elected kit to bring him in, definitely sounds like it’s good news on Heard. I sure hope it is anyway.
Yep. Lewis doesn't have a spot. I see it that Heard as coming for the left and CAMPBELL is on board moving to the right.

So, what's the argument? That staffs play no role in OL development? That would discount the very discussion at hand--i.e comparing our staff's development to whether a (replacement) staff would develop better.

If staffs play no part, then we're no better off one way or another. If staffs do play a part, and some are saying our staff suffers in that, then pointing out their first round pick (especially with before/after performance points) seems pertinent.
The argument is the player is most responsible. No coach turns a player into anything. It 80-20 to the player. Otherwise Elarbee would have a top 10 pick every year.

I won't argue percentages, as they are made up on the spot. I'll just reiterate that by that logic, any discussion about whether our staff (or anyone's) is developing players is wasted keystrokes.

G'day.

If what you are arguing is true, then why wasn’t Wright as good under Will Friend as he was under Elarbee? Same player. Coaching absolutely matters big time. Look at Hooker at his time at VT, under Pruitt and Heupel. Heupel turned him into a potential Heisman winner and one of the best QBs our program has ever seen.

HH never played under Pruitt
