Nolen was never coming here the second time around. He never visited, was never offered to visit.Allow me to google for you again...
"With that said, Nolen has several other options. Tennessee and Michigan both heavily recruited Walter Nolen when he was a recruit, prior to him signing with the Aggies in the class of 2022. Those two programs, and Tennessee in particular, are under consideration once again, according to [Steve] Wiltfong. Wiltfong added that several other big-time programs, including multiple schools in the SEC, will get a look from Nolen and his family. Among the potential landing spots are Georgia, LSU, Oregon and Texas, per Wiltfong." - On3 reporting on Walter Nolen's potential landing spots
Most kids in the portal will never come out of it to anywhere major. I would suspect more linemen bust than any other position as well. I would say his statement is absolutely true. I would say even if we can’t do better than Dayne which I think we can, we need more bodies even if they’re backups.Larry has been doing this longer than some posters here have been alive. Hell, I’ve been reading his posts for over 15 years, others for even longer.
He’s never been accused of being a sunshine pumper. Usually the opposite.
There are certainly some Tackles on the market that would be better than Dayne, but it’s likely true that most probably aren’t.
Mincey: Zone-64.0, Gap-57.4, overall RBLK-59.7 Pass-62.1
Lewis: Zone-67.5, Gap 54.1, overall RBLK-63.0 Pass-73.1
I think it's fair to say he would be a major upgrade over Mincey. Bigger, longer, and grades out better
Lol..ok dude. Steve Wiltfong, the director of recruiting for 247 sports has no idea what he's talking about. Random message board fanatic that can't stomach anyone having an objective opinion based on facts that isn't 100% good news for his team is an expert. Got it. Now get to work...there are other people on the board with objective opinions. You need to shut that crap down.Yeah, becuse Wiltfong has a direct line to CJH so whatever he says is gospel.
Nolen was one of the players CJP gave a bag too. All the other players that were given money were shown the door. So why would UT circle back around and try and recruit a guy that was a part of one of the biggest black eyes in UT's history?
From what I read, the Nolen's stated that they reached out to several schools when Walter went into the portal, with UT being one of them. I'm not going to pretend I know what goes on behind closed doors (unlike Wiltfong and you).
Common sense should come into play. If a recruit was radioactive for being paid at a school becuse of a prior staff, why would he suddenly be welcomed with open arms now? I can guarantee you that if there is a black list for student athletes not being allowed to enroll at UT, he would be on it.
You just want to die on that hill that this staff sucks at recruiting.
You have no idea what recruits were actually offered. A visit doesn't necessarily equate to an offer.

Dude makes it sound like Baron and TMac made our defense. Neither were big losses.Oh our defense was lost without Baron against Iowa. I think we replaced the production of 1 sack over the last 6 games that he provided. Dude flashed against out of conference and a bad Texas A&M but was a non factor the majority of the games we needed him.
That’s what don’t get did he get bad news on his draft grade? Guy played pretty solid for three years and put up above average stats and metrics in the SEC. Feel like he could easily be drafted and make an NFL roster but what do I knowI mean Baron was really good this year, we don't have to deny that.
No one thought he would be coming back anyways so it's not really a loss in that regard. The idiot should've just gone to the league.

You're right. You know WAY more than wiltfong. You should start a recruiting website. Be sure and send me a link so that I can buy a subscription.Show me one shred of proof that Wiltfong knows more than anyone on this board. That he sits in on recruiting meetings at UT.
You can't. He's guessing just like the rest of us.
Way to deflect though.
Edit - I saw the quote from Walter Nolen Sr. with my own eyes stating that THEY reached put to several schools. Not once have you seen an official offer from UT, or even an offer for a visit.
It seems like you're the only "fanatic" here trying to push your false narrative.
There’s nothing there saying that we wanted him.Allow me to google for you again...
