Missouri has been luckiest team in country

It's crazy they were a 5-7 team last year. Teams don't usually turn it around like that especially in the SEC where every conference is tough, except Kentucky.

Mizzou is doing good this year, hopefully they remain undefeated,so the mighty Vols of Tennessee can put a butt whipping on them

Go Vols

They're backup quarterback mady mauk I think his name is, played at Kenton high school about an hour from my house. A couple years ago I went and watched a playoff game that Kenton was playing just for the heck of it. The kid looked good! And I'm glad to see him playing well and making a good name for himself. Hopefully he won't against the vols...

I did not read very much of this thread but I am impressed with the effort Mizzou has shown this season..especially after the so called "experts" predicted this team close to last in the SEC and Pinkel possibly on the hotseat..coach seems to have turned things around quickly. Maybe the Vols can hand them their first loss GBO

Every championship team I have ever seen always had some breaks go their way. Missouri has had some good luck the last couple of weeks. That sets it up good for us if we can get the win against them late in the season. GO VOLS!

Tennessee Good Luck:

1998 Syracuse, the last series of the game, the d.b. holds the receiver. However; the ref doesn't call it. We regain possession, kick the field goal and win.

200? South Carolina: Foster fumbles the ball, in the last couple of minutes of the game. McClendon fell on the ball, as it bounced a few yards forward. Not only do we recover the ball, but the ball advanced past the 1st down marker. We win with a field goal.

1998 Arkansas: Clint fumbles the ball, late in the 4th quarter.

2010 UAB: We should have lost that game. However; every time that UAB was in scoring distance, their kicker missed the field goal. In fact, he missed 5 field goals. Had he made just 1 of those field goals, we would have lost the game. We win in O/T from a pass from Simms to Moore.

1998 Florida: Florida field goal kicker misses the field goal in O/T.

2011 Vanderbilt: Eric Gordon has been jumping passes all season long. At times, he jumps the pass and leaves the receiver undefended and it ends up bad for us. Eric had, at times, been in Dooley's dog house because of this. Late in an O/T game against Vandy, Eric jumps the route, intercepts the pass and runs 90 yards for the game winning t.d.

2003 Florida: Clausen throws a hail Mary, as time expires in the 1st half of the game. James Banks is defended by 3 Gators. Banks catches the ball for the t.d. and this gives us the momentum for the 2nd half of the game, and we carry that momentum to a win.

2007 Kentucky: Dan Williams blocks an easy field goal attempt in O/T from Kentucky. Had that field goal been successful, we would have lost the game and would not have gone to the S.E.C. Championship game. Also, Hamilton would not have given Fulmer an extention...

Don't confuse good luck with players making plays.

Jamal Lewis's torn ACL wasn't very lucky. Cuts both ways.

Yep ... Everybody remembers Chris Weinke getting hurt and the Stoerner fumble, but they forget us losing our best player early in the season.

Mizzou could finish 12-0 or 8-4 and neither would surprise me at this point.

The pass int call against the Cuse.
With out that call we lose the game.

The fact they are undefeated is crazy. Just look at how their schedule has played out. They finally hit the hard part of there schedule and look at it. They get UGA with all there wide outs injured and top 2 RB's, then they play the Gators without there best offensive and defensive players in the game. This week they get USC without there QB. Shows 2 things. TN really is whipping up in people and 2 Mizzu is taking advantage of it. :lolabove:

You call it luck, I call it kicking ass and getting done what needs to be done.

It Only Does It On This Site. It Isn't The Preferences. I'm Not Changing Something That Works Fine On Every Other Site. Get Over It.

Doh....

Since I couldn't care less what you post or if you post, I don't have anything to get over. I was just showing you that mine does the same thing and how to stop it if you cared to.

Has Misery had some things go their way.... indeed they have.
The fact is, The General knew that you have to be good to be lucky.
You have to be good enough to keep yourself in the games, in order to capitalize on the breaks. Miz plays as a team, they can play above their talent level because of that.

Miz got to play these teams while their opponents were not playing as a team.
When a star player goes down in a game others normally step up and play with the team.
THAT HAS NOT BEEN THE CASE FOR UT (till now)
Glad to have a coach that is turning that around.
It all starts with teamwork, trust, and tackling. A team that does those things for 4 quarters will win.
