I'm not saying it's the only reason the team lost by any means, but I wonder how much better we would have played if the Serrano announcement hadn't been made before the series.

The fat lady may not be singing, but I saw her walk on stage. :)

Whaddaya talking about. The fat lady has been on the roster for the past 5 years. Apparently, she's been our closer!!

And as for the question about whether or not it might have been different if Serrano had not made the announcement before the series: Did it really look any different than the past month of the season?

No. My expectations were low for this season. We managed to way underperform them.

Just FYI..... I was referring to the game, not the season or the era.

Nice, guys: Getting swept in the last three games of your coach's tenure. Well done. Sheesh.

some of us went through small ball...big ball...and, finally...no ball, but, some of us chose to cheer for the boys out on the field...in spite of the coach...:)

Like everyone else, I really like the guy and wanted him to succeed, but m glad he's gone. Ready to turn the page.

Doubt that UT will find anyone of Serrano' s experience or expertise. UTAD has lousy reputation for supporting & promoting baseball. Just sayin'.

!

Can we put that on a T-shirt?

Look, I was rooting for the coaches and the players. It just didn't work out and a big part of that was because Serrano tried to play small ball in a power driven conference. You just can't win in the SEC without power pitchers and power hitters.

You can as long as you have the ability to play with power, as well. The Floridas, LSUs, USCs all can/do play small ball if they have to. The difference is they have 12 guys with pop instead of 3-4. Each guy on those teams can bunt and all if the game forces them to, as well as playing for a bigger inning.

16, I've said it all year that this year's UT team did not have a single pitcher who would have been a weekend starter for any other SEC team. That's nothing new because it's been that way for Serrano's entire tenure. However, this year, there wasn't a single position player that would have started for any other SEC team either.

Come on Rogers starts for a lot of teams in the SEC.

1. If you only have one player to argue about, you are proving my point about a weak line up.

2. Rogers was a good player but not sure he would have been a full time starter for any other SEC team, especially at 3rd. You can make that argument and I'd like to hear it.

2. How many SEC teams have a 180 lb corner infielder. Rogers was a good player but not sure he would have been a full time starter for any other SEC team, especially at 3rd.

Moberg as well but I get your point. Vandy has played with little guys at 3rd a lot of years
