Dooley made some interesting comments about expansion at the QB club yesterday.

"I think we had it right in the 80's"

IIRC

They can still guarantee both games are played ever year. Right now, we rotate two teams out of the West on two year intervals with one every year(Bama). We can still drop one west opponent and pick up the extra east. If we want to keep the three west games, all the teams can drop one OOC game a year.

I like it because the Auburn rivalry will heat up again

The NCAA has nothing to do with it. It's the individual schools and conferences.

I can't remember when UT has played Missouri in Football. This is kind of a stretch. Not any ties to the conference except with Arkansas and A&M.

This is actually one nail in the NCAA's coffin, as they don't really do anything for the conferences in football, except try to pester the hell out of Athletic depts.
These Super Conferences will likely tell the NCAA to hit the road and govern themselves, which they already do in large degree. The NCAA is nothing but a fifth wheel in this regard. Don't need them as a governing body.

The problem would be for Bama ... How to keep Auburn in the Three Teeth Bowl and TN in the TSO game.

TN and GA will have to pickup Tex A&M & Mizzo as their West every year team.

What about north and south divisons? We keep bama every year instead of the Gators.

Exactly.

I like the idea of adding Auburn to the East over Bama. Auburn can't sustain their level of success and I enjoy the history of that rivalry.

North: Missouri, Kentucky, Arkansas, Vandy, Tennessee, South Carolina, Ole Miss
South: Florida, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Miss St, Georgia, Texas A&M

Might be the most imbalanced division in the history of college football.
