The Romney campaign has been accused of deliberately getting the Republican presidential candidate booed by black people during his NAACP speech to attract votes 'in certain racist precincts', by MSNBC host Lawrence O'Donnell.
Romney was booed for 15 seconds at the National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People conference in Houston on Wednesday when he stated he would 'eliminate' unnecessary programmes like the Obamacare health reform.
Democrats united in saying that Romney planned to get booed to appeal to his conservative base. But O'Donnell and his guests went a step further by saying that Romney was making a play for white racists.
He got invited
LOL, you idiot, they ALL get invited. He went and plan was to say repeal ACA, which was intended to get boos from Obama supporters.
How else can he distance himself from his own plan?
So obvious what he was doing.
What? He's going to get applause for that line ?
Please. He used them. He excited the far right base (as evidenced by the thread) and he lost no votes.

He could have done a better job. Calling it "Obamacare" was stupid.
He should have stated up front that there is probably disagreement between his views on the healthcare bill and the NAACP, and appreciates the opportunities to highlight the differences and make his case. Calling the bill by its official name, rationally stating why he thinks it would be bad, and stating how his ideas would be better would have been the better course of action. Nobody saying he has to pander, but there was a better way to handle it.
He wasn't going to win many votes, everybody knows that. But he could have refrained from the right wing euphanisms and stated his case better. IMO, that would have been more presidential.
