Sorry to play the "what-about-ism" card, but didn't Trump do this a lot? Trump was always threatening Amazon and even structuring policy to hurt them, just because Jeff Bezos also owns The Washington Post and they were frequently critical of him.
Trump also threatened the NFL on Twitter because he didn't like the kneeling. Trump could be as petty and vindictive as anyone. Did that bother you too, or is your outrage selective?
It restricts the options from what Georgia voters had available to them in the 2020 election cycle. The reason for this is simple... Republicans lost some very important elections, and they are nervous about the possibility of having Governor Stacey Abrams in the future.
In an interview with Sean Hannity, Trump absolutely did threaten Amazon. Also, Trump threatened Harley-Davidson if they moved production overseas.Ok, post something proving me wrong.

Just Google "Trump threatens Harley-Davidson". You will see several links. It was big news at the time.
Republicans have only won the popular vote once in over 30 years. This is what happens when a political party is desperate to stay in power despite the overwhelming majority of citizens rejecting their ideology. They are akin to Sadam's Ba'ath party. A political ideology not representative of the citizenry it represents, so therefore turns to oppression as an attempt to stay in power. Here are the most significant changes to voting in the state, as written into the new law:
* Most concerning
- Voters will now have less time to request absentee ballots. *
- There are strict new ID requirements for absentee ballots.
- It’s now illegal for election officials to mail out absentee ballot applications to all voters. *
- Drop boxes still exist … but barely. *
- Mobile voting centers (think an R.V. where you can vote) are essentially banned. *
- Early voting is expanded in a lot of small counties, but probably not in more populous ones. *
- Offering food or water to voters waiting in line now risks misdemeanor charges.
- If you go to the wrong polling place, it will be (even) harder to vote. *
- If election problems arise, a common occurrence, it is now more difficult to extend voting hours. *
- With a mix of changes to vote-counting, high-turnout elections will probably mean a long wait for results.
- Election officials can no longer accept third-party funding (a measure that nods to right-wing conspiracy theories).
- With an eye toward voter fraud, the state attorney general will manage an election hotline.
- The Republican-controlled legislature has more control over the State Election Board. *
- The secretary of state is removed as a voting member of the State Election Board. *
- The G.O.P.-led legislature is empowered to suspend county election officials. *
- Runoff elections will happen faster — and could become harder to manage.

There are countless examples of Trump threatening private American companies. It was usually over something very petty... like his beef with Amazon. I can't believe some of you are even arguing this. He did it all the time. Trump was petty, vindictive and he used his power to punish companies with CEO's he didn't like.... such as Amazon and Bezos.Changing tax codes to penalize moving labor overseas
Vs changing regulations because you’re upset about a voter ID law
1 isn’t like the other
