MLB cancels ASG in Atlanta

seems the concern is that it's bad because of the party currently in charge - would it be bad if the other (or another) party was in charge?

Well, you more than likely just summed up this whole thing with that idea. Its either ignorance or willfully going straight political party regardless.

The comical part is hearing the word "unity". Neither side wants that. Issues like this are the proof.

Maybe he can repost the link.

I had to laugh. I don't remember the last passport i saw without a photo. Only government could write instructions like that. A passport is acceptable means of identification to get a free photo id if you don't have one...

I think it is bad no matter which side is in control. If anything calls for a bipartisan approach, it's a contested election.
Bipartisan is basically if "we" have the majority you need to agree with us.
If "we" are not, you need to take we want into consideration and at the least negotiate what we want into law.

The "bipartisan" idea will be interesting to track on the federal level.

If Democrats get one Republican vote, they call it "bipartisan."

in your edit you left out two points of contention you were arguing:

1. It's free
2. It can be obtained at any county registrar.

you questioned both of these items - so I presume you are now satisfied that indeed they are free and available in every county?

I never said anything about cost.
I've never said anything about requiring an ID.
I've had to show an ID every time I have voted.

White House tries to walk back Biden's support for pulling the All-Star Game from Georgia by saying he didn't 'dictate' MLB's decision

The White House tried to walk back President Joe Biden's support for pulling the All-Star game from Georgia amid mounting criticism from Republicans claiming it is the victim of a 'woke mob'.

'He was not dictating what Major League Baseball should do ... dictating they should move the All-Star Game, that was their decision, they made that decision and, as he stated earlier, he certainly supports that,' press secretary Jen Psaki said during Monday's briefing.

She then denied trying to rollback what was widely interpreted to be an endorsement of the coming move.

You actually said.
A State of Georgia ID Card may be obtained at any DDS Customer Service Center. The cost of this card varies depending on the type of card obtained.
Hog replied.
And for free(depending) at every county registrars office
.
You then asked for a link.

Obviously the idea that it would or could cost something and required a trip to obtain was important for some reason.
At least for awhile.
