BJ's have runners on 1st and 3rd with no outs in the bottom of the second.

Come on, O.

Edit: Make that 2-0 with no outs and runners on 1st and 2nd. If he doesn't get out of this and quickly, he won't make it past 4 or 5 innings.

3-0

Runners on 2nd and 3rd.

Get Oberholtzer out, now. Dude must have spent last night getting wasted.

Edit: Also, BJ's stadium looks pretty nice inside the ballpark when they pan out. Could use less of their ugly blue but other than, it appeared nice. Guess I've never really looked at their stadium. Is their stadium supposed to be any good?

And sad fly to make it 4-0. Fml. Starting to think the Astros won't make the playoffs. They've been super crappy lately.

And now a walk. Bases loaded with 2 outs.

This is the 9th batter of the inning for the BJ's.

Astros finally have people in the bullpen. Should have back when it was 2-0 and I said to pull his ass once it became 3-0.

Edit: Finally got out of the inning with a 4-0 score. Well, time for the Astros to use some of that power and crush some home runs. Gonna need it.

Astros put up a run but also got thrown out on a horrible attempt at stealing. I've been seeing them get thrown out a lot lately on steals. Here's an idea... stop. Astros just ended the inning with 2 people on bases on a crap steal attempt. He wasn't even close to making it. Was thrown out by at least 10 feet.

After going down 1-0, Stros up 2-1.

And another Astro got thrown out trying to steal already. Like I said the other day, it's happening basically every game at this point. Not liking the trend.

After going down 3-2, Astros have come up big in the 7th with 3 runs. Have a runner on 3rd with only 1 out. Could use another run. 5-3 Stros for now.

Need to avoid the sweep. Especially against a team like the BJ's.

Edit: Astros scored again, 7th inning stretch. Astros up 6-3. Woot.

Yankees left-hander CC Sabathia became the 31st Major League pitcher with 2,500 career strikeouts today, and leads all active pitchers in career strikeouts.

How many players you think have been anywhere close to his size? Randy Johnson was taller but weighed a lot less. Frank Thomas was pretty large but still 2 inches shorter and 15 pounds less than CC. Fielder is 275 but only 6 foot. In terms of bulk, that probably makes him larger than CC I assume but still, Sabathia is bigger overall. Dude is huge. Maybe you won't have much of a problem thinking of large players but I for the life of me am struggling to think of players that size throughout MLB history.

Uh oh...

6-5 Astros and the BJ's have a runner on 1st with no outs in the bottom of the 9th. He batted in a run.

This is pathetic.

Astros have allowed 3 stolen bases this inning alone and have an error on a dropped pop fly because guy trying to catch it ran into the runner standing on 2nd.

This has been a horrid inning for the Astros.

Still 6-5 Stros with runners on 2nd and 3rd.

Report: Houston Astros Could Call Up Correa Tomorrow

It’s almost that time.

The moment that all Houston Astros fans have been waiting for will be happening but it’s just a matter of when.

We had all been wondering when it would be but we finally have a tentative date.

According to the Houston Chronicle’s Jose de Jesus Ortiz, Carlos Correa could be called as early as the start of the series against the Chicago White Sox which is a three-game set starting tomorrow night at U.S. Cellular Field.

This is fantastic news for us fans and it’s quite understandable.

Why?

Marwin Gonzalez and Jonathan Villar, the two guys currently in the rotation, haven’t been getting it done at short stop and in order for the Astros to maintain their leadership in the AL, they must continue to find innovative ways to stay fresh and ahead of the curve.

Jed Lowrie is still expected to be out while he recovers from thumb surgery after getting injured back in April.

This news could make the BJ's sweep a little easier to swallow. That 9th inning though... what in the actual f.

David Ortiz
Mo Vaughn
Dimitri Young
Adam Dunn

Good list. When looking up their height and weight, I saw one that Ortiz is 230 and Vaughn 225... what, when they were 13? That was obvious pre-Mets Vaughn before he ate the blue gum from the movie Willy Wonka. I just remember Mo Vaugn looking like a big ol' turd as a Met.

Dimitri Young, I would have never remembered his existence. And Adam Dunn, that's a really good one. He's huge. And to think, he was an OF'er originally. Should have remembered him with his time spent on the Reds. He's listed pretty close in size to Sabathia, an inch shorter and 5lbs less than CC. I guess we have our fight night for the future.

Carlos Correa provides Houston Astros easy answer at shortstop - SweetSpot - ESPN

After already showing that last year’s leg injury was well behind him in spring training, Correa arrives already having delivered a 1.006 OPS between Double-A and Triple-A, with a .332/.404/.602 line that includes 10 homers and 18 steals in 19 attempts. As far as more happy stats, he was walking in better than 10 percent of his at-bats while striking out just 16 percent of the time. At 20, he’ll be the youngest player in the AL, having already demonstrated that he wasn’t overmatched against more advanced breaking stuff at Triple-A -- where he was almost seven years younger than the average player.

Correa Called up.

I'll definitely be watching tonight's game. I'll gladly watch the Stros beat down the ChiSox. Wishful thinking on my part after watching the Stros get owned by Chicago not that long ago in another series. Really need to take at least 2 of 3 after getting swept 3-0 by the BJ's and now riding a 4 game losing streak.

The article mentions he'd be the youngest player in the AL but I think he'd be the youngest player in the league. He's 20 something and the youngest player in the NL when I looked up came up as 21 something. Unless that was from earlier in the season and another younger player has been called up to the NL since it was last updated.

Just saw this...

Correa and James Winston played on the same all-star team. Both ended up being the #1 overall pick, just in different sports. Some of these two sport athletes today are just so good in both sports... Bo Knows.

Hmm... for some reason the player isn't appearing. Might have to clink the link.

On June 8, 1921, Babe Ruth was jailed for speeding until 4 p.m. -- an hour after the Yankees game began. He had his jersey delivered to the jail, changed in his cell, then was police escorted to the game. He pinch-hit walked in a 4-3 win over Cleveland.

ESPN and SI both saying Swanson will be #1. Hope so, I don't want to have to pull for Vandy dudes. Pretty sweet that Astros are the first team to ever have two top 5 picks. With Correa getting called up tonight, I'm liking everything I'm hearing. Just avoid drafting a Vandy dude and I won't even be bothered by a loss tonight.
