I totally agree. I wish that's what the rule was too. But it's not.

True but it seems the ref had a different interpretation of the rule before the crowd and Matt Ryan started complaining. I have a problem with that. I've been lenient with these refs and have thought they've done ok up until this crew. This crew defines what people have been complaining about.

I will say this though, I hate when people say these refs are putting the players in danger. No. The players are putting themselves in danger. Their peers are the ones going rogue. These players need some self accountability. Are they not supposed to know the rules of their craft? Are they not considered "professionals"?
