‘23 MO EDGE Chandavian Bradley (Tennessee Commit)

Maybe explains the drop in rankings, but still, how good is his school that they can afford to sparingly play a kid like him? Are we being sold a bill of goods, here?
He was definitely the most athletic player out there. I didn’t see an Al Wilson, Leonard Little, or Raynoch Thompson out there. In all fairness, the other team ran away from his side each time. Nice speed, but will need to add weight and looks like he’ll need a year or two to develop. Just my opinion.

I would really love Herring and Bradley to start lifting and eating more. Josephs was a little light but he did work and now he’s an impact. Like Herring and Bradley, Pearce is their body type and needs some more time in the weight room before he can be a serious SEC impact.
They will do what they are asked to do I am sure.

I was comparing that Josephs spent the spring adding about 10 pounds, Pearce didn’t. Both enrolled in June. I know Herring will be an early enrollee, I hope Bradley does too
All these kids may not have access to the proper nutrition in order to gain 10-20 pounds before they get here. Depending on metabolism and body type, the amount of calories and protein necessary daily could be pretty expensive. Especially in this economy.

Only Leonard Little (of the above mentioned) starred in his first season on campus. The kid will be fine once he gets here and begins to develop. We should not be depending on freshmen anyway. We are building a program. And winning while doing it. Which is fantastic.

Josephs still needs to get bigger. He's a situational guy right now. But yeah, all of those guys need to add weight to be every down guys. I'd expect Josephs and Pearce to add a lot of good weight this offseason. Hopefully, Bradley and Herring can add some too, at least enough to be the 3rd and 4th LEOS next year.

Little was a JUCO.

Leonard Little was also a Junior College transfer when he arrived for his first year on campus. Al Wilson did play quite a bit as a true freshman and I recall had a couple of really good games.

Pearce is a little taller and longer than Josephs. He also weighed about 10 lbs less.
He's still making an impact on special teams, and even has a sack already.
I think they both put on about 20 lbs actually from the end of HS senior season. But Pearce is built to carry a little more.

Both will be impact guys next year. Josephs I think is going to make a few big plays this season.

I know, that’s why i lumped Pearce Bradley and herring together. All the same tall lean frame. If Herring and Bradley start working on that now then they could contribute situationally next fall. Josephs looks like he’ll be able to step into that starting role with Roman left vacant after BY leaves.

Pretty crazy to think our edge guys next year are:
Baron Bailey West Herring
Harrison Josephs Pearce Bradley

College Weight Programs exist for a reason.

It’s pointless to worry about a kid’s weight while he’s still in high school.

Little was a one year juco, and a physical beast. No one really like him. Al Wilson was not a day one starter and neither does this kid have to be. Which is my point. Looking for Al Wilson as a college senior in a high school seniors 4th game is more or less folly.

If some of them are anything like I was when I was 17, they could eat 100 times what's normal and not gain a pound 😆.

A lot changes when they get an elite nutritionist and S&C program working with them. I'm not a bit worried about any of our guys putting on the right weight, once they get here. . . but it would be nice if a couple of them could add 10-15lbs before arriving, to give the S&C team a little more to work with.
