'24 MO WR Ryan Wingo (Texas commit)

The fraility of false hope on this board cannot be underestimated. Wingo may very well sign here. I sure hope he does but post visit interviews are not going to tell us where he winds up.
Is that what’s being sold with an interpretation of his interview? You think the same fanbase that handled local kid Tee Higgins flipping to Clemson can’t handle this one?

I don't believe that anyone posting to this forum has legitimate inside information into what this kid is going to do. We're all just reading tea leaves and speculating. You probably don't mean it to sound this way, but your tone comes across as a lecture. There is nothing wrong with a little optimism. If he goes to Texas ... he goes to Texas. Tennessee will be just fine at WR either way.

those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Sometimes they don't. Sometimes they do and especially when coupled with other things. Some kids glow about every program. This kid seems to be pretty straight. The parts about having tight relationships that appear to be different are either really good lies... or a strong help to UT.

We won't know where his priorities lie until he gets in the boat. Maybe NIL turns his head. Maybe another staff convinces him that they can make him more successful. Shoot... maybe Mizzou or someone convinces him that he's better off being the clear #1 than being in the same room with the guys UT has.

But relationships usually determine a kid's commitment all other things being relatively equal. So the staff has pretty much aced this recruitment.

I know Wingo has been predicted to go many places, but he keeps coming back to Tennessee. That has to be a good sign, right? The more visits the better and he still hasn't went on his official. Which game is he coming to?

Also, if AJ doesn't come here, that certainly frees up the room a bit.
