'24 MO WR Ryan Wingo (Texas commit)

You are a Missouri fan why would you want Wingo to end up at Tennessee.

Because I'm a TN fan who happens to live in the St. Louis area. My dad is a UT alum, so as long as I can remember, it was drilled in my mind to root for the Vols. I have no ill will against Mizzou...I did not attend the school, so I don't really have any vested interest in them. They're the "adopted" home town team. I root for both teams except when they play one another. Side note, last week, I spent the week in Myrtle Beach with the family. On our way down, stopped off in Knoxville and took my 8yr old son into Neyland for the 1st time. His eyes lit up at the size, and thought it was really cool.

In talking to Ryan Wingo again earlier this week, it is clear he covets his relationship with the staff and that is why Tennessee will be in this one until the end. The fact he also drove cross country for a one-day visit before hopping on a plane to Texas A&M says a lot about his interest level as well. This one is going to have more twists and turns between now and December, but he admits the Vols have been a constant for him for months and for good reason.

I did the same with my family three years ago and my son was also 8. He was in shock at the size.

That sounds to me that he’s Vol unless something comes out of left field to change his mind. He knows rationally he needs to explore all options but he’s Vol until something radical changes. Just my take so far.
Him saying that the relationships he's built and knowing he will be developed properly are the biggest concerns for him. I'd say he's a Vol. They have proven to be able to develop talent at wide receiver and have the strongest bond it seems.

Make the case: Tennessee has been the most consistent team for Wingo since his sophomore season. He and Kelsey Pope are in constant contact, while Josh Heupel and the entire family have hit it off. Wingo wants to play on a pass happy and wide receiver friendly offense and those boxes get checked in Knoxville.
Take: There have been plenty of teams come and go in this one but Tennessee has been a consistent visit for the Wingo family. He has been here several times this year with his most recent being at the end of July. He has insisted that he is going to go the distance but we aren’t sure that is a lock. No matter when he decides, Tennessee has been and will continue to be a factor for Wingo.
