Mizzou just got a crystal ball. Everyone said not to worry about losing Jefferson because we’re getting Wingo. If not, we don’t have enough receivers and will have to hope we get them in the portal. Matthews and Staley are nice, but they are 2 of our top 4 next year. Need more.
I was one who said that. Hopefully I am not wrong. But if we lose both Nwaneri and Wingo due to NIL to Missouri then that just shows we have a very weak NIL setup.
If I had to guess…. Mizzou is willing to over spend for these two players but it wouldn’t work if they weren’t local guys. It was reported that they took that approach to get Luther.Would also mean that UGA and OU and Oregon lost Nwaneri to Mizzou. And Texas and UGA and Miami lost Wingo to Mizzou.
Guess Mizzou just has the best NIL setup in the nation?
Or could it be that there are other explanations?
Theyll be paying these guys to attend another school is what's going to happen. I will be 150,000% shocked if either of these dudes makes it to Misery for even 1 day. If they dot they dont last a year before Dorkwitz' sandpaper charm wears off.If I had to guess…. Mizzou is willing to over spend for these two players but it wouldn’t work if they weren’t local guys. Thought the same about Luther…. Shocked he stayed another year.Theyll be paying these guys to attend another school is what's going to happen. I’m sure glad we have you on here to tell us how to go about following recruiting. If it weren’t for you, we wouldn’t know that we shouldn’t care about Tennessee kids, or to not put much stock in post visit interviews. Where would we be without you?!The fraility of false hope on this board cannot be underestimated. Wingo may very well sign here. I sure hope he does but post visit interviews are not going to tell us where he winds up.
I tried to illustrate that very idea in the Nwaneri thread. Best case scenario is that it is 6 months, and that is only if all the following apply: you play football, you sign in December with an instate school to play football, you aren't an early enrollee, and you want to maintain eligibility for any winter or spring sports (basketball, wrestling, baseball, track, etc.).RC says he thinks the NIL in MO is overblown, if a kid signs and is an EE he’d literally get $$ 30 days sooner than he would elsewhere.

Don’t care about other programs. I am sure there are other explanations. That’s why I said IF. It my stance holds. If we lose both guys to Missouri (I don’t think that happens), and we hear it was because of NIL then that’s pathetic. Missouri should be able to drop a bigger bag than us. If you feel differently then that’s cool.
