'24 MO WR Ryan Wingo (Texas commit)

I mean… he hasnt visited here in months and has no concrete visit plans to come here but is going literally everywhere else including consistently to missouri and texas, not exactly hard to read the tea leaves here

So in other words, you don’t have a source.

Got it.

Yes, of course. Nearly 2 decades and you dont think i've got a source?

Each week I convene with 4-5 insiders. Very few have such elite access. This coveted prize is allowed only for the elite, upper crust of ad listeners.

Today, is our secret mailbag q&a.

Is he still planning an official visit later this year? Or should we be moving on from him as a realistic target?
Moving on is the best thing to do at this point. UTex has plenty of bags as seen with AD Mitchell last year (supposedly $700,000+ for a one year rental) and has momentum with the Bama victory. Mizzou has bags and momentum with the KState victory. Colorado has Deion and the buzz around that. Those are the three he’s seriously considering (and no one I’ve talked to really knows if CU is serious or just an exciting moment to be part of). Right now it’s Texas and Mizzou with a big gap to anyone else. We’ll see if CU makes a move. Unfortunately we are sitting in the boat with uga where we once were at the top, but that feeling has waned.

Wingo sounds like he's going to the highest bidder.
Gotta be honest. Having a WR like Wingo won't mean much if our QB doesn't have the time to get the ball to him. We aren't hurting for WR's. We are, however, in desperate and I mean DESPERATE need of OL. I'd put my money on half a dozen big uglies for next season instead of a recruit like Wingo.

Yep only 45k fans but add in media and rappers and celebrities and pro athletes and the #will be 85k
Their official capacity is 50,183. So if they’re able to fit 35k of media, rappers, celebrities, and pro athletes on the sidelines and in the viewing part of the tunnel, good for them

Think they’ll probably try to get like 5 in the portal.

Seems that way. And Tennessee simply doesn’t need to drop that much on a WR. We need to allocate our money (going forward) towards portal OL first and portal DL second.
Maybe, or just let the recruited HS guys test themselves and play.

Sometimes coaches are too sure in a "sure thing", and they get burned by playing a heady veteran that has average speed.

And when he makes one mistake that's a TD.

Walker, McCullough, Hadden are all too damn slow for what we need in the secondary.

I don’t disagree, but I was talking about allocating NIL money towards a high school WR vs. a portal linemen. 😉

The bags are less secret and certain privileged teams can't exploit their immunity from enforcement. Overall, it's a big win.

Yeah it’s likely not a coincidence that we’re in our second or third year of NIL and the portal and teams like uga, Alabama, and Ohio state look more mortal.

Texas boards believe he’s a silent to them, FWIW. That can obviously change.

If he wanted to jump on the Missouri NIL money train as a high schooler, he would have done so already.

Agreed. Multi-billion dollar industry fretting that archaic rules have been rendered moot. The best at cheating with relative pennies on the dollar now have to pony up and compete.
