Mollie Tibbetts murder suspect arrested

Beat me to it, but Huff always takes up for the bad guys. How else will he get his drugs?.

There is a legal market for marijuana in AZ. Not everybody bases their political positions on self-interest.

Immigrants are not the "bad guys".

Do you mean relevant? You're saying you don't understand how arrest and conviction rates for natives, legal immigrants, and II's in murders and sexual assaults in Texas* are relevant to the conversation about immigration and crime?

Again, don't read this.

*one of the few states who keeps statistics on immigration status of criminals

Yes, relevant.
Of course we have bad people here but shouldn't illegal immigrant crimes be 0% because they shouldn't be here in the first place?

So because we have x number of bad Americans, it's ok if illegals kill/rape because its less than what native born Americans do?

You're free to conclude whatever dumb things you want from the data. My conclusion is that people peddling the idea that illegals are dangerous are alarmists who must think that Americans are dangerous.

I didn't refer to all "immigrants." I was referring to the "illegals" that are convicted murderers in your chart, and God knows you love charts and graphs and stuff. Their "illegal" murderers is who you seem to be taking up for, by saying that they aren't as bad as our citizen murderers.

I'm not defending convicted murderers. I'm defending immigrants. When you say that I take up for the bad guys and I'm taking up for immigrants, I'm not wrong to assume you mean immigrants.

another way to look at this is that illegal immigrants more than two and a half times as dangerous as the legal ones. which does reinforce the idea of needing better border control (no wall for me). also outlines the importance of the distinction the pro control people make between illegal and not. I think even the worst "racists/bigots/southern nazi redhatters" would agree they are fine with immigration, just not the illegal type.

Yes you are. Assume (ass u me) makes an ass out of you and me.

Which immigrants are you taking up for?

Then why is Trump reducing legal immigration?

I haven't seen any real numbers on this. did a quick google and the last numbers the government posted was 2016.
some of it could be possible immigrants deciding to stay home with the rhetoric coming out. the only one I see that Trump has actively cut is refugees, considering some of those we were possibly getting, from Australia, I don't really blame him.

I'm saying he's implemented policies that will/have restricted legal immigration. For example, refugees in the immigration ban would be the most obvious case. This article is from February:

That’s not what Donald Trump proposes. His plan provides legal status and a lengthy path for citizenship for up to 1.8 million people who are eligible for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. In exchange, though, the president wants to sharply restrict family-based immigration.

The bill he favors would change the law to bar naturalized citizens from petitioning to bring their parents, adult or married children, and siblings. Only spouses and children under age 18 (down from the current 21) would be eligible.

Trump also wants to abolish the diversity visa lottery, which takes up to 50,000 people each year from countries that are underrepresented in other categories. He would limit refugee admissions, which numbered 85,000 in 2016, to an annual maximum of 45,000.

In all, his plan would slash legal immigration by as much as half, the most drastic cut in nearly a century. On Wednesday, Trump threatened to veto any bill that doesn’t include such limits.

I know since that was written he also announced he's restricting spouses of high-skilled visa holders, for hell's sakes.
