We might be the first team in the SEC history to take five graduate transfers in one of season think about it that tells you that your roster is garbage Key positions

Also tells you he isn't here to take his time to win. Wants to win ASAP. Not sure how many spots that takes or if it counts for this class we didn't sign full

Been wondering if Bama has any grad transfer possibilities with how much those kids love Pruitt. Also Kirby got it done where kids can do that now with that one kid

Glad that he is showing that he is not just going through the motions in this upcoming season, he wants to win now. Gotta back CJP. GBO!!!

They say (you know, "those" people who say things) that "you only get one chance to make a first impression". If you're not there to win, CJP doesn't want you.

I believe we will have an interesting product on the field come fall.

GBO!!!

if we red-shirt a few , does that not make room for the grad-transfers without losing anyone ?

Maybe I've read it wrong but on more than one occasion I've read someone saying these 5th year seniors would count against next years class. Why is that since this is the only year they have left of eligibility? Wouldn't they just count against the 85 for this year and graduate at the end of the year? In this case as long as we have the spots under the 85 it doesn't hurt anything for them to fill in at needed spots and we can try to fill them long term in the next recruiting class.

Joshua Casher is a Bama OL redshirt senior who I think might be interested in grad transfering. Bama is going to need someone to leave in order to make room for the incoming grad transfer QB Gardner Minshew. Casher is pretty good. It would be better for him to transfer somewhere that really needs to add more experienced OL (like UT) -- where he could play more and potentially start. I haven't heard that he's looking to transfer, but it makes sense that he might be seriously considering it.

Not sure where they would have room to take Chryst and 3 other grad transfers. Really does not make sense.

Yeah we don't need an OL, right guys?

Some options I found. These don't look that inspiring

Tennessee Football: Potential Grad Transfer Options For Vols

THESE TWO

*Kevin Feder — Offensive Tackle — Ohio State

Feder is a massive offensive tackle (6-foot-9, 303 pounds) that would give the Vols some much needed size along their offensive line. He didn’t play much at Ohio State due to injuries (his first two seasons) and being buried on the depth chart. Feder was rated as a three-star recruit out of high school.

*Zeke Walker — Safety — Indiana

Walker is an interesting player that actually played some linebacker for Indiana last season. He played in all 25 games for the Hoosiers the past two seasons. Walker is a former three-star recruit that would give the Vols some nice depth at defensive back. He’s 6-foot-2, 220 pounds, so I’m sure Pruitt will be intrigued by him.

I am sure the coaches have crunched the numbers and have a plan. I don't like to speculate on players leaving, but we have heard there are health issues with Hall, Smith, and Neihaus. Calbert has had three knee surgeries, Chryst tore up his knee in the 2016 bowl game, and we aren't sure if Kelly will be back. Add to that Davis may go in the MLB draft. If we can pick up a decent OL or two, I am all for it.
