More liberal politicians believe they need to choose for Mommy and Daddy

But parent Miguel Medina said he thinks the "no home lunch policy" is a good one. "The school food is very healthy," he said, "and when they bring the food from home, there is no control over the food."

Parents with this mindset only encourage the government regulation.

I am just curious as to how this is substantially different from refusing to acknowledge gay marriage, refusing to legalize drugs, refusing to legalize prostitution, outlawing smoking in public places (something that can and should be blamed on both parties, across the aisle), etc.

Can you clear this up for me?

Why stop there, what about marriage to animals, or legalizing drugs for all ages , just slip junior a lil meth in his oatmeal and you could get all of your honey due list done in one weekend, again legalizing prostituion for all ages, right and incest too why your at it. These probably sound as ridiculous to you as yours sound to me when you compare happy meal legislation to legalizing Meth.

See what i have noticed about liberals, you know the open minded people, is that they are ONLY opened minded about sexual preferences and drug use. everything else its their way or its idiotic.

Are you assuming he's supporting this ban on home-packed lunches? Is he? I read it as him saying this is the same kind of reasoning as the things he listed. I tend to agree. All of the above are stupid.

I don't consider children to possess the intellectual tools to think abstractly enough to make such decisions; science has demonstrated that the majority of adults either do possess such a capacity or have destroyed it themselves (not my problem).

As for incest: why not legalize it? As long as both parties are consenting adults, I have no problem.

I bet he does, he doesn't seem very shy.

I prefer the term "introverted".

As it is, have had a busy day. I shaved for the first time since September, that took about forty minutes and two razors. Then, the fiance and I had some errands to run before having a nice dinner. Now, we are heading out to get my haircut (also first time since September) and follow that up with pie and ice cream.

Incest is more likely to negatively affect the gene pool, right? That's a good enough reason for me to ban it.

I don't see a good argument for legalizing gay marriage and not polygamy, though.

Holy crap realUT, did you go out for a Forrest Gump jog or something?

I spent some time traveling. Now, actively pursuing a gig on Capitol Hill. Unfortunately, that means no shag-tastic beard and non-professional hairstyles.

Me in Dubai a few months back.

I really want to go to Dubai, and I think I'll probably get a chance at some point. Just out of complete curiosity, where else have you been? I know you've been to India.

Don't stay for more than three days in Dubai; it gets real old real fast.

Outside of the Middle East only India, Rome, Vienna, and London...unless you count a week long trip just south of Cozumel a handful of years ago.

I've been to all those places sans Vienna. I'd say I enjoyed Rome the most.

Where in India did you go?
