Uh, what timeframe are you basing this on?

There was a time frame involved...like - "UT hasn't had a back-to-back losing season since"...whatever the date was...or in modern football, it was talked about in the media and on here.

Looking at cfbdatawarehouse, until the Dools, UT hadn't had B2B losing seasons since 1911.

I'm going in assuming that Tennessee absolutely beats USU, ASU, Chatt, UK, and Vandy. So 5-7 would be the minimum for my mind.

I answered 4-8, because I think it is more likely that Tennessee slips up against just one of USU, ASU, or Vandy than it is that Tennessee beats three out of Mizzou, USCe, UGA, UF, and Ole Miss.

Solid logic.

Flame away! I want to believe we can beat at least Mizz, and UF out of that group, but until we do its tough to predict.

Who knows?

Okay, so there was a timeframe involved. If you'd literally meant "never", that would have been incorrect.

Saying "never" was easier than looking it up, kinda like making up a number for how many National Championships you have is easier than looking it up.

Is UF's d line going to be nasty this year? If so, it'll be hard to win that game.

Biggest thing this year in the conference is the lack of starting experience at the QB position. If Coker doesn't step up Ala could have atleast 3 -4 losses. A'M, LSU and GA could struggle atleast early on breaking in new starters. Who knows about Florida's QB situation. Ole Miss hasn't really got anything more than average at QB. Definitely questions all over the conference at QB. If Ala has to depend on Sims at QB they will have a long yr. And no clue what UT will do at QB either. Wasn't a good sign that nobody emerged from spring as the "man".

Florida was very beatable last year.

We beat ourselves more so than Florida beating us last season.. so in Neyland with more continuity, more skill, and an (hopefully) ironed out QB situation.....it should be a better game where FLa will have to earn it.

Offense is gonna be their biggest problem. They will be very beatable this yr.
Speaking of the gators---the one-on-one battle of coaching will be won by CBJ over muschump. Unless UT lays an egg, the Vols will win in Knoxville.

When its all down and said 7 and 5, I think we beat 2 that we supposed to lose to, and lose 1 that we should win, that's the way it goes with young talent, but we will beat the GATORS and the streak will come to a end, but we got to wait 2 more years to beat bummer, in 16 we will beat both and go to the playoffs, so we got to hang in there this year, this is the last year we all say wait till next year, because next year is now, with good QB play we just might be the surprise team in the SEC and the EAST is very weak, w e just might compete for the EAST next year and give them a run for the money this year QB play is weak all across the SEC this year, so a lot of these teams will have the same problems as we do, if we get the Defence going and knock a few heads off, we just might kick a few azzes this year instead of next year, we are on our way back and coming fast the train has not make it to the top of the hill, but when it does look out, the BIG ORANGE will be kicking azz and taking names.

Try 3 in a row

And 4 of last 5

And 5 of last 8
Hurts to make a slight correction, but...
Regular Season:
3 in a row,
4 of last 6 (2010 - 6-6/6-7 with bowl loss)
and 5 of last 9 (52.3%).
Including Bowls:
6 of last 7
and 7 of last 9 (50.9%).
Last Bowl win was Wisconsin in 2007 season.
No matter our record or how tall the odds are against us, I always believe we have a chance in every game. Not a fair weather fan and I bleed Orange. My Orange T on my truck flourishes in enemy territory. My Black hat with the Orange T is a conversation starter around the world. It hasn't been tough being a Vol, but losing sucks. I haven't had 6 Nattys YET. So, I'm betting 7-5 plus a bowl win. So, closer to 8-4... GBO

I picked 8 n 4 because if we only win 4 then cbj is dead in the water as our coach..

If injuries aren't a problem (and even possibly play in our favor), 8-4.

If injuries are against us, 4-8.

I think the team is that fragile. With the right luck (opponent injuries, ball bounces, opponent penalties, etc.) 8-4 is doable. Likewise, with the luck we have had in the last couple years, 4-8 is also doable.

Rare that you can have a team with that type of possible swing but we have that weird mix of being very young (inexperienced) and talented.
