I don't agree with that. If you're trying to mitigate damage with a self imposed penalty, you damn sure better adhere to it. Otherwise, you've simply lied to the 'AA yet again.
The violation I mentioned is supposedly 1/11 that the NCAA has found... idk if that number is for certain, but there will be bad news coming after tonight's win in regards to our basketball program in the next 48 hours... pains me to say
As for my credibility as a source... believe it or not. I don't care, I was dead on with the CCS prediction, TIFWIW.

Agreed, but they can't punish us for violating in house rules. We know why the internal sanctions happened, but they weren't specifically shot to the AA as a response to something.
That said, it's dumb as all hades if we really did violate.

Word out here in the woods is that there are more violations set to be announced within the next 48 hours... possible headline in tomorrow's knoxville newspaper... One of which involves Pearl going to visit a recruit three days after going on television crying about how sorry he was that he lied to NCAA, therefore violating off campus recruiting penalty. Not looking good at all
And it was self imposed, so the AA can't say jack about it.

1. the nature of the ncaa is that they can do whatever they want, whenever they want, for whatever reason they decide on that particular day that feels good to them.
2. what's the point of a self imposed penalty if you don't have to adhere to it?

Notice of allegations page 11, item 3 alleges a September 14, 2010 visit by Pearl and Tony Jones to Oak Hill Academy to see junior Jordan Adams where they had a two to three minute conversation with Adams. The fact the NCAA has an allegation of a violation occurring 3 days after the press conference is the most troubling information I did not already know. I would also like to know what was redacted from allegation 2 on pages 9-10.
The OP's statement about Pearl visiting a recruit 3 days after the press conference is almost accurate. The press conference was held on September 10, 2010. However, the off campus recruiting restriction began September 24, 2010.
