More QB talk...

To throw a loop in all of this...What are the chances Manny Stocker former NC State Quarterback transfers in, and would Butch have a scholarship for him. Was listed as a 3 star Pro Style Quarterback out of High School but runs a 4.6 40 so he would likely fit our system. Film definitely looks good!

If Worley is the best we got next season we are in for it again.. I know the off season is easy to be optimistic but we almost forget how awful Worley was until we see him again. Atleast we will have studs coming in every other position.

I really wish people would stop calling for Worley. Unless we change the offense and drop all read plays, he is not the right man for the job. His unwillingness to run makes him unfit to lead this team next year. His passing ability is by far the best we have, but this offense needs a triggerman that can pull it down and run with confidence.

I would like to see Ferguson. From video highlights he really looks good.

FYI, every HS QB's highlights look good, because they are highlights.

The QB that performs best at practice will be our starter, whether that's Dobbs, Ferg, Worley, or even Peterman, especially since we don't have to deal with "burning redshirts" this year.

I personally -hope- that Ferg is the next best thing since Peyton or Tee, but the fact is, no one has seen him play at this level and he has no college-game experience. It does make me optimistic that his footage is what "did it" for Malone, but none of us know for certain exactly what Ferg will bring to the table.

Hope I eat crow on this one, but it's just asinine to have a foregone conclusion that Ferguson is the second coming of Jesus Christ.

My money is on Dobbs or Ferguson. Dobbs has the experience but according to Malone, Butch and Co. are pitching Ferguson as the better guy. I just don't think it will be Worley based on his inability to run.

The one thing I would like to see this year in regards to our qb situation is settling in on a starter by the end of spring. I think it would greatly build continuity within our offense to name a starter early and give him the entire fall to develop timing and trust with the receiving core. IMO the drawn out qb battles set development back in a sense bc of lack of certainty and too many reps being split. Just my opinion but I'd like to see a starter named sooner, regardless of whom that individual is.
