Am I taking crazy pills? I think people are misunderstanding that being more under appreciated is not the same as being the better football player. Clausen was the better, but he wasn't under appreciated. He was a very good QB, and he was treated like it by the fans and the media.
Foster was a very good running back at UT (2nd all time rusher), yet he is treated like he singlehandedly destroyed our football program. The more under appreciated player with respect to their accomplishments is easily Foster.
Foster's accomplishments were kind of diminished by his lack of ball security inside the 20s. He could be a beast at times but when we got in scoring position the opponent knew one hard hit and he would cough the ball up.

Not a bad topic but I wouldn't limit it to the Ice Man and Taco....Of those two, it is the guy who was a winner not the guy that cost us the Penn State Outback Bowl or the '08 UCLA game...Most underappreciated players of recent memory = Billy Ratliff, Shawn Bryson, Corey Terry, Tori Noel, Derrick Tinsley and Fred White.
