Morgan Freeman: Tea Party is racist

speak for yourself. The fact that a real-life Peter Griffin is telling me anything about being overweight or how to stay healthy is enough reason for me to ignore them. He also rails against the US system yet it's the very reason he has an outlet for his fabrications and is able to get rich off them.

has nothing to do with personal feelings and everything to do with credibility

I'm not understanding. He is a giant douche, rich, and fat as hell. Our country still has a huge problem. It would be true no matter who says it.

there are few thing harder than hearings things from someone we don't like - at least for us americans.

I've no illusions whatsoever about the poor diet/sedentary lifestyle of many Americans but people aren't big on the "Do as I rant, not as I do." thing. And that applies to pretty much anybody on pretty much any subject, not just this one.

true isn't always factual when it comes to people like MM. It's like Tiger Woods lecturing on fidelity, Dahmer on being a vegan or Obama on pinching pennies. The person delivering the message must have at least a shred of credibility to get their point across.

ha. I understand why you guys are raging. He sucks. My point is that it's true. Ya, he's enormous - but it's true so I don't care.

It's not "raging" it's the truth (you're very concerned about that right?)

But you just eat that propaganda up no matter who's serving it. Maybe you're right though, who better to tell me to lose weight that a disgusting fatbody? Of course he would love for me to be given weight loss direction thru the gov't instead of doing it on my own since they are smarter and more efficient. Oh wait, you ignored that stupidity and just heard the part about America being fat. What did you do for the other 1hr 59min of the film?

I didn't say anything about following some government orchestrated program to force the population to lose weight. I simply agree that we are fat, lazy pos'.

I watched the thing - felt bad for those families who got screwed, then continued living.

I'm not sure if I missed one of your points - but aren't 1 in 3 American adults obese? That's no propaganda. That's fat, broooo.

I think it's based on the health industry definition. I know it's not absolute...but 1 in 3 is pretty terrible.

and it's wrong. Even Bush was considered obese by the definition. I'm sure almost every professional athlete (except track or soccer) would fall under the same since it's only based on weight/height.

I've been in every weight zone on the chart yet I know what my personal goal is. I guarantee you I know my body better than any gov't official

pretty sure it's doctors. If they work for the gov't - that's news to me. But ya - I can see where there would be people who don't fit the criteria.

I still contend we are too fat as a country. We are debating 1 in 3 here - not 1 in 100.

BMI is not from doctors

I gained weight after I graduated when I got a job. Went from doing intramural, running around campus, etc, to sitting at a desk all day. Even though I drank 1/10th of what I did in school.

but I lost it all and then some. And added some muscle mass. Helps when you move a block away from your gym
