Morris Claiborne-- wonderlic score...

Ignorant on many levels.

you are certainly entitled to your opinion. there are many professional athletes on many levels who have blown away millions. let me reference warren sapp, who just filed for bankruptcy. i guess i am ignorant because i am not being pc. actually, do tell how my comment makes me ignorant. please expound on the levels of it as well, captain high and mighty.

Many people who have made large amounts of money have filed for bankruptcy, not just pro athletes. I will go ahead and say there is absolutely no correlation to Wonderlic scores and financial security.

Can't remember the article but a school did a study to see if the Wonderlic actually has any bearing on the ultimate success of a player. Study proved it definitely did not and also found, specifically to Claiborne's case, that DB's who scored worse did better than those DB's that actually scored better.

Sad, really.

I am going to go ahead and just assume that you're wrong.

I think there is a very strong correlation between Wonderlic scores and intelligence and/or common sense.

I also believe there is a very strong correlation between intelligence and financial security.

I'll let you piece the rest together yourself. It will be like an ACT question.

So a timed test with a lot of pressure for a person with a learning disability is going to determine his/her financial stability? No, there is no correlation there. Also, common sense and intelligence (standardized test Intelligence) are not the same.

there certainly seems to be a direct correlation between playing in the NFL and bankruptcy. I doubt it would be very hard to tie in the Wonderlic if given all the data

Dan Marino? What was it a 12 or 13 that he scored? Obviously you are going to have plenty of examples of gross misuse of money when you have such a large/diverse group of wealthy individuals such as the NFL. However, it's reaching when you want to correlate that with a test that many have deemed useless.

plenty of examples? Yeah almost 80% of the players. Now take the bottom 80% of scores and see how many match up. Care to hazard a guess on how high that % goes?

When the number is that high I am going to go ahead and say there are a magnitude of other factors/indicators that are more important than the wonderlic test.

that they aren't very smart to begin with? Wonderlic kinda hints at that so to say there is "absolutely no correlation" seems a bit misguided

I agree. I misspoke when I said "absolutely". One should never speak in absolutes lol.

No way he took the test seriously. What if he intentionally bombed it as a statement against standardized tests and their legitimacy? He is really an intellectual mastermind.

No doubt that was it... Morris says, "you don't know me." $$$$
