When you look at all the talent we have at the DE and LB position, we're loaded this year. AT DT, not so much. On first and 2nd downs, I think we almost HAVE to start Mosley (next to Saulsberry).

Why? Because he's already a Behemoth, by SEC standards. We aren't going to ask him to run down players on the perimeter. That's what our DE's and LB's are for. You want our two biggest bodies clogging up the running lanes and keeping the OL off our LB's.

Obrien and Owen Williams aren't big enough to do that. Normally, we don't want to rely on freshmen, but I think we'll do so, our of sheer necessity. Will be interesting to see where Sawyers will wind up in the rotation.

Malik Jackson was an all SEC DT and only weighed about 275. I suppose you think that Allan Carson should be lined up next to Mosley?

I would rather Mosley RS. Strength wise I don't think he is ready. I do not want McCullers 2.0. It would be beneficial for him to RS. I also think Sawyers is ready to go.

Owen Williams will likely be there, he is a JUCO, he came in to make an impact immediately, although undersized in the height department, his strength and quickness from what I've been reading this spring are unreal. I doubt they would have brought him in to come off the bench/not start.

That said I think we will end up rotating a ton of guys up front anyways to keep them fresh, that seems to be the trend in college football today with the amount of plays the offenses are running it hard for a 6'3-6'6 +300lbs guy to give 100% for 10-15 plays in a row without getting gassed. IMO.

While I see what you are saying he could use a year of strength training and getting in shape. He also needs to work on his athleticism but that will improve with him being stronger and being in better shape. I believe Owen Williams strength and athleticism will more that make up for his size.

Have you see Robertson and Sawyers film compared to Mosley? Robertson just was quoted saying he is around 295 and Sawyers is over 300. Well let me help you out here! Lets look at some video.

Sawyers: MiKE SAWYERS JR YEAR - Michael Sawyers highlights

Robertson:
Jay Robertson Sr. Highlights - Jashon Robertson highlights

Now here is Mosley:
Charles Mosley's Highlights - Charles Mosley highlights

I hope i am wrong but unless Mosley has changed and comes in a very aggressive DT I don't see it.

I am glad to see a Mosley thread...He hasn't been discussed here much. He looks like an OT work in progress to me but should be a good one.

The critical piece is Saulsberry.

If Saulsberry comes back 100% healthy he will make A Lot of noise this year. He need to go really hard this summer in the weight room and getting those knees stronger.

If Owen Williams is able to get in shape and get stronger. His quickness alone will give O-lineman issues.

I think a combination of Saulsberry and Williams is one that could cause trouble at the DT position. Will off a nice blend of size and speed. Now the issue is who will be who will back them up. Right now I say Mixon and O'Brien are good canidates

I agree with this... from day one after watching his highlights I was concerned that he may not have the aggressive nature to play DL. I would love to see Mosley prove me wrong though. We need all the DLs we can get.

I also agree that Sawyer and Robertson will probably be ahead of Mosley at this point.
