I heard a stat yesterday that to me was simply unbelievable. The Texas Longhorns have had only ONE offensive lineman drafted since 2008. I'm not talkin 1st round, I mean drafted period.

I'd like to hear from you guys what you think are some unbelievable stats from college football. Sarcasm and lame attempts at comedy are welcome.

I heard last night that Pete Carroll is the oldest coach in the NFL. That surprised me.

He used to coach in college and former college players play in the NFL so that's the connection to college stats.

Here's a stat: Jim Bob Cooter has more jokes about his name than any other player in UT's history.

UT is 0-2 against Vandy, 0-9 against Florida, 0-7 against Bama, 0-4 against UGA, 0-5 against the Barn, 0-2 against Mizzou, 0-4 against LSU...

Jaw dropping to say the least.

Most important stats we should be concerned with right here.

If you will notice, Texas, for the last few years has mostly Texas players on its roster. Perhaps they tend to believe that recruiting outside the state of Texas is not necessary.. Sure, Texas produces excellent players but obviously not enough to win National Championships year after year. A coach worth its weight must realize this and recruit outside of the great state of Texas. For me, I don't care if they never win another game.

I was shocked to hear that if Peyton Manning wins the Super Bowl this Sunday, he will be the first NFL QB in history to lead two different teams to a Championship. That's pretty freakin cool right there. Would be the ultimate season for him. I'm gonna be pulling hard for Denver Sunday night!

If you're the GM for the Colts do you feel good about your decision to offset immediate success for delayed success with Luck? There were no guarantees either way, but PM was and is a known winner.

I think I would've stuck with PM and built a solid defense. jmo

I don't think Peyton would have lasted the past 2 seasons behind that Colt offensive line. Luck's stature and ability to move is the main reason that offense has been productive and even then he's taken a lot of hits.

Stat: vols have the 2nd most pro-bowlers the last 10 years.

I also heard he wants the NFL to consider use of medicinal marijuana. Does this mean "ole Pete" indulges in a "doobie" from time to time?

I also wonder if we could be the first team ever to finish in the top 5 in recruiting after not qualifying for a bowl. True or not?
