You are wrong so no problem to refresh your foggy memory (happens to all of us at times).
CDD also recruited Hunter, D Rogers, Pig, and most of the o-line. Perhaps even more importantly, he put together a great offensive staff (had enough brains to keep Chaney, added Pittman, J Graham, etc).

Derek Dooley lovers are just such a rare commodity what with how he was the worst coach in our school's history, didn't appear to give 2 Shiites about the program/former players/important high school coaches, and was generally regarded as a difficult guy to like by those in and around the program.

Just stuff like that, that's all. You guys, I think there are actually 3 of you, clearly like him more than you care about the health and success of the University of Tennessee football program...that much is very clear. I liked Dooley too, until I realized what an utter mess and disaster he made of UT football. Now, I'm not much of a fan.

The Dave Hart & Butch Jones photo made me laugh! My son had that same reaction when he seen Santa Clause at the mall.

Dooley is a mastermind, I agree. The ability to lose 7 games with Bray, Rivera, CP, Hunter, Neal, and a host of NFL O-lineman is damn impressive. Not many could pull that off. :hi:

Because of Sunseri and historically bad defense (and Dooley does get blame for hiring him - no question as HC he failed overall as the W-L record indicates). But that does not take away the fact that he built that great offense in 3 years and that his prized recruits are playing well in the NFL (CP, Hunter, and even D Rogers).
I hope Butch is able to do better as far as W-L (but I have a lot of doubts we will see an offense as good as we had under Dooley as long as Bajakian is there).

forgive my stupidity,

but why was dooley wearing the chick-fil-a trophy?

I thought we lost that game the year before he arrived?
