Most underachieving Vols of all time?

I will begin the list:
1. Vincent Yarborough
2. Scotty Hopson (unless he stays and does something great next season)
3. Marcus Haislip.

These are the anti Danes. They are the opposite end of the spectrum from a Jujuan Smith. They are guys who God gave an enormous reservoir of talent, and they did not put in the hard work, show the character etc to get the maximum out of what they had.

Brian Williams despite having something in common with Willie Nelson and Bob Marley, cannot be on the list because he was a guy who lost 100 lbs just to come here and he was not blessed with A+ anything from a raw talent standpoint.

Who do you guys see as our most underachieving basketball players? Lot's of hype or not, I want to know who you think played under their ability during their time at UT.

I will also say that Swiper is not on my list, because I think his dad's name built the hype and his growth spurt set him WAY back where he could not play as a 6'8 guard but did not have a skill set to match his frame. I am hoping like JP Prince coming all the way back from mono, that he can still give us some good stuff before he is done.

SO SWIPERBOYS'S FATHER AND HIS GROWTH SPURT ARE THE REASON'S WHY HE SUCKS????:dunno::no::hmm::nono:

SWIPERBOY IS LIGHT YEARS AWAY FROM HOPSON, HAISLIP, AND YARBOROUGH. THEY MAY NOT HAVE BEEN NBA ALL STARS BUT THEY WERE VERY SOLID PLAYERS. SWIPERBOY CANT EVEN CRACK MOP UP TIME

Manning ... I know ... I know ... the records and wins ... but he had the potential to win at least two National Championships ... hey, since the guys been awesome in the NFL.

I'd say ainge, given his success he had a lot of potential taken away by drugs, and fulmer.

Duke Crews would be next on my list. Don't think you can include Ramar Smith as he performed quite well while he was on the team.

Dirk Borgonone the guy kicked a 68 yd fg in hs and the rest is history. When the AA took his tee he was toast.

Duke Crews and Ramar Smith. Imagine having them instead of Skylar McBee/Melvin Goins and Steven Pearl/Kenny Hall in 2009-2010.

Charles Hathaway was a McDonald's All American, so a lot of people thought he was going to be the next Shaq.

He played more like Boomer Herndon.

Well, Ramar was a two guard with great skill who the staff tried to turn into a point guard. That was the MO for our previous staff. Ramar had some very good games, but really wasn't a point guard. I still don't think you can list him as a great underachiever.

Charles struggled at times aerobically and it was not asthma. It was all the cheese and bread and tomato sauce.

If Victor could have eaten what Black and Hathaway ate instead of them, everyone would have been better off.

Montrell Jones is one of many I think of for football. Basketball underachievers have all been mentioned but Ramar stands out. Tony Harris is one as well I think underachieved. How is Haislip on the list?

Hathaway also had a serious blood clot in his arm and was never the same. I still remember him going for 25 in Fayetteville as a freshman.
