Most underperforming?

A third of that '07 class never even made it on campus, and I shouldn't even have to comment on that '08 class.

Of course and if you look at LSU classes it's the same freaking way. You should see what happened to our 2005 class. I think only 5 guys ever saw the field.

I still don't see how you say 4-1 teams and 5-0 teams are under performing, you guys have unrealistic expectations. SOMEONE HAS GOT TO LOSE.

I think this guy is trying to say that tennessee is actually more talented than LSU. I mean of course to need a penalty that had absolutely nothing to do with the play that transpired in order to beat them at home. They most be more talented if tennesssee is underporforming and LSU is not.

Texas
07: #2
08: #14
09: #5
10: #3

yeah exactly the same.

pretty f'n close. I mean under this stupid theory, UAB should have been beaten by 100 points.

You people are not realistic at all.

I never said any such thing.

I mean you need a horrible FG kicker to get a win out of UAB.

I think your school system is under performing if you read what you said I wrote.

Average class rank of 6, compared to 14. that's the difference between winning 9 games and competing for national championships.

Class rankings are irrelevant. Compare current rosters.

to what?

You guys and your stats. Comparing is an opinion. To say 4-1 teams and 5-0 teams are under performing at the same time your team is 2-3 is quite funny. Oh I know, we don't have the recruit, what BS, plenty of recruits. Your AD blew threw them.

The Vols are not going to win 9 games. You'll be lucky to win 6.

Texas won in 2005, with an average class of 15 from 2002-2005. What you are saying is BS.

Stats? You're bringing up our class rankings. Compare our roster to Texas, it's not pretty f'n close.

Completely agree.

Vince Young's class was the #1 ranked class in the country.

I didn't bring up this stupid... we don't have recruits crap.

Sure it is. Tennessee has had plenty of talent over the last decade.

Texas has had tons of people going on to the NFL.

Tennessee has had lots of our highest star rated players fail out of school or get kicked out.

Tennessee has to take the football equivalent of Ramar Smith, and Phil Fulmer did just that over and over and over and over.

Mack Brown has done less with more.

BTW, Rodney Garner and his pull of just a few players all in the same class when he got Jamal Lewis and Cosey Coleman etc completely changed the way people view Fulmer and his legacy.

So what? You don't just play with one class.

Average ranking of Texas class from 2002-2005 is 15, for Tennessee it was 11 with a #2 and #4 class in there.

I'm talking about right now, not over the past decade.

You have 3 of the last 4 class in the top 10, sorry buddy plenty of talent that your AD has basically blown threw. Tennessee had #3 class in 2007 which would make them seniors if not red shirted this year.

Oh lets pick the other under performing team UNC, which has lost a ton of player but beside that.
Average ranking from 2007-2010 is 21.75 to the Vols 14.25.

Now if you want to say Texas is kind of under performing I guess I can get that, they were kind of getting blown out in every phrase of the games. I can even see Georgia in the mix, but you can't put teams that are 4-1 on under performing. Florida can still on any given day beat anyone in the country, maybe minus Alabama.

I think college sports have gone to a new level when a team is 4-1 is under performing. Completely crazy.

The point made after I had written my post about needing to compare talent on current rosters to see who is under performing is correct.

I did not include teams like LSU because they are undefeated.

If you are winning, I do not care how you are winning. It is fine to say that it will catch up with you, but I made my list based on the most talented teams that have losses that are absurd and indicate major problems with the coaches developing the talent they have on their team.

I would say the part in bold describes LSU pretty well.

If you polled 1,000 LSU fans, 999 of them would say LSU, although 5-0, has underperformed this year. We get the one guy here who thinks otherwise.
