His parents should be prosecuted for child abuse. No 11 year has the mental capacity to make that decision. His moms are making the decision for him. Truly sickening

Its awful, I agree, but why is this in the politics forum?

Merriam-Webster defines politics as:

a : the art or science of government b : the art or science concerned with guiding or influencing governmental policy c : the art or science concerned with winning and holding control over a government

2: political actions, practices, or policies


3 a : political affairs or business; especially : competition between competing interest groups or individuals for power and leadership (as in a government) b : political life especially as a principal activity or profession c : political activities characterized by artful and often dishonest practices


4: the political opinions or sympathies of a person


5 a : the total complex of relations between people living in society b : relations or conduct in a particular area of experience especially as seen or dealt with from a political point of view <office politics> <ethnic politics>




All of these seem to in one form or another deal with societal or governmental issues. You find a lesbian couple playing God with their kid, and it would appear you mean to imply something negative about gays and lesbians, on the whole, from these two people.

Kind of surprised that you are shifting now from fiscal issues into the social policy arena...

Idk, it looks like the kid started to exhibit transgender tendencies as early as age 3. Still not sure how it's legal to give a kid hormone blockers for no medical reason but it doesn't seem like the moms are forcing the kid to grow up this way. Who really knows though?

The Christian Evangelicals love stories like this because it reinforces their contention that gay couples will either sexually abuse their kids or force them into their Satanic lifestyle.

Oh, in the local paper, here's a story about a man killing his wife and kids. So, therefore, all heterosexual men will kill their wives and children.

Where do you suggest it go? I figured it would be a controversial topic and thought those are handled better here.

Nice attempt to be condescending though.

As the OP - let me clarify my opinion. I have no problem with gay people or gay couples adopting children.

I do have a problem with any parent choosing a medical therapy like this. It is a child and the parents are abdicating their parental duty IMO. I don't make any assumption that it has to do with their own sexual preference.
