I don't assume sexual abuse in cases like this. I don't think the child's confusion is even something his mothers can help. But it's naive to think that having two gay women as parents wouldn't have a negative effect on a young boy's understanding of his own body.

However, while they can't do anything about his confusion, they should not be giving him treatments that can be incredibly damaging to an 11 year old.

so being raised by a single mother wouldn't have the same effect?

only part I agree with is the last. Giving a child unnecessary medical treatment is wrong.

Where is the doctor's responsibility in all this?

Children emulate their parents.........same would be said if a father was an abuser, that child will more than likely exhibit the same behavior as an adult. I am not saying that gay couples sexually abuse their children but to say that it doesnt have a great affect on a child is a bit wrong imo.

Irresponsible parenting is irresponsible parenting, imo. Heard on the radio about some woman getting charged for giving her daughter botox injections. Yes, Botox.

do you think a child growing up in a single parent household is better off than in a 2 parent one where they are gay?

I see this story as equivalent to Christian Scientist families that deny medical care to their children.
