Movies you would like to see redone..

Pet Sematary should have been made into a better movie than the one with Herman Munster... and this probably won't be popular here (or ever happen) but aside from the casting of Jack Nicholson, I thought Stanley Kubrick really botched The Shining... It was too slowly paced and left out too much from the book. Those two could easily be done better, imo.

I loved both!

Never question Gary Oldman again

Don't recall questioning him in the past.

Still hard to replace Gregory Peck in that role. It'd be like saying Actor X could be a good replacement for George C. Scott in Patton.

I literally just heard that echoing trumpet blast in my head from Patton and to be honest I'd consider GCS's Patton more iconic even than Peck's Finch. (totally subjective on my part obviously)

Yeah you are right...The Shining is damn near a perfect film and the scariest ever made I do not agree with you. The pacing is intentional and that is what makes it scarier than anything ever put on celluloid. The book...not even close as scary. One of those rare instances where the movie was better.

You are 100% right on this...I absolutely despise the ADD generation *****ing and moaning about great movies being "slow"...

You would never get the star studded cast like the original, but A Bridge Too Far would be awesome with Spielberg at the helm.

The Last Starfighter with modern CGI.

Soylent Green

The Lost Boys

Foxy Brown with Zoe Saldana at the helm

I loved The Last Starfighter..And another SF movie from that era Enemy Mine...I would like to see them both redone.

Im still waiting on the original cut of Event Horizon with the torture scenes. I am pissed that they had to cut it out to begin with.

Mostly the case with a Coen Brothers movie, but I don't even want another stab at Hail Caesar! :yuck:

What the heck happened to The Coens with Hail Ceasar? Yeesh it was so bad. and Paul Thomas Anderson with Inherent Vice which was also horrible.

These guys are allowed a stinker I guess but lets bounce back. :hi:
